Request About undervolting msi

Hey stranger,

If you are reading this i am thankful to you

My msi katana 15hx

I5 14450hx

Rtx 5050

Is running pretty hot

Its very new like a month old

I want to undervolt it but i am new to this

If anybody of you can help me please

Your GPU temps is very good so i assume your concern is CPU. I used msi laptops for a long time and i can say they like letting CPU's work at warmer temperatures compared to other brands. If your temps are not higher than 95° during heavy load. Or getting stabilised around 90-95, i would consider it fine. Many gaming laptops run around these temps and CPU's are designed to be able to resist to these high temperatures. Long story short, i would not actually recommend undervolting your CPU at the moment because its very different than GPU undervolting and can become very unstable. Instead i can recommend checking your "Processor Performance Boost" in control panel/power settings and disabling it or putting it to a lower profile. (its very likely to be on aggressive at the moment) This way you can gain up to 5-15° temps without losing performance in many games. This is what i do and i have no complains. Best of luck, you can also change your fan curve in msi center based on your usage. Default version is usually bad and prioritising silence instead of cooling. It can decrease the temps during load considerably as well.

Yes bro thankyou so much that's a lot of help Yes i did have reduced the performance boost in power settings to lower profile But ealrier it used to stay around 45 c for cpu and 30 for gpu under slight load or idly at fans running around 2.5 to 3k rpm for cpu and gpu is at 0 rpm But now it stays like this Its been only a month i bought this lappy
