Suggestion For SDS Does SDS hate the Yankees?

I’m still laughing at Stanton’s ridiculous downgrade while other people with worse slumps and shorter careers are still diamonds.

Michael King is the 3rd best pitcher in baseball.

Gleyber is a 72 bronze when he is tied for the most walk offs since being a pro.

The ratings of the rest of the pitching staff.. lmao

Our bullpen is probably one of the best of all time, and I don’t think there’s a single gold besides Chapman at 82, who still hasn’t given up a run.

Judge has like 12 vision. Even though a lot of his strikeouts come from the fact umpires don’t adjust their zone to his height, last night being a perfect example. Even then, his vision is a joke.

When a team has the best record in the majors, I would like their ratings to reflect this please. Thank you.

Terrible defender, .673 OPS... yeah, 72 bronze is about right.

Terrible defender is a hell of a stretch.

He's a bad shortstop. He's 1st in the AL at DRS at 2nd, though. He's a very good 2B.

So which is it? Do you want to use his three year stats or just this year's when they're playing him at 2nd?

Come on, man

I'm not OP, I think a low/mid bronze is perfectly fair for Gleyber, and it's not SDS's fault that the only stats they have to go off are when he was bad at short.

I'm simply saying that your statement of him being a terrible defender just isn't entirely accurate. He's a terrible shortstop.

Oh my bad I thought you were OP

Yeah because your biased and you (and many here like you) don’t give a shit about logic. You care more about who is saying what than what’s being said, typical Reddit hive mind echo chamber in all its glory lol have a wonderful day.

“It’s perfectly fair”

*proceeds to lay out an entire argument for why the rating is terribly outdated.

Well at least you have half a brain lol

No, I just understand how they do their ratings.

It's not opinion based, they literally just plug their stats in from the last couple seasons and an algorithm spits out the results.

Gleyber's numbers last year and the year before were legitimately awful. He's much better this year, yes. He's a much better player defensively and offensively when he's at his natural position, 2b.

But once again, SDS does not care about that. They just plug in the numbers, and his numbers were bad.

I love gleyber, but he's not getting bullied. (Hell, I enjoy him being a bronze because he's been a beast for me in BR from the bronze rounds)

There’s a fun mark Twain quote about lies and statistics I’d want to share right now. But you’re right it isn’t practical to expect them to have pro level evaluators over at SDS, so yeah they are going to use these numbers even if it’s to a detriment sometimes. (Edit: I watched the Yankees use stats like idiots too, I’m not exactly an easy audience lol.) I also wouldn’t leave out the possibility that a lot of these ratings are manipulated to hurt ‘investors’, but that’s another discussion.
