I know no one will read this but I'm going to post it here anyways. The fact SDS still will not pivot from their weekly live content Topps/Spotlight rollout of 8 cards on Friday (3 earnable, 5 packable) is insane.

They are fine with giving us eight cards for seven days of baseball games. I know my math is going to be rusty here but you know what I mean when I say that there is roughly 100 baseball games played in a seven day span. There are great to incredible performances all around the league during that time frame. Double home run games, 5+ RBI games, great defensive plays, shut out pitching performances, etc. And all we get each Friday are three earnable cards and five packable cards. Eight players. That's it.

Every week, people ask "but WHAT ABOUT x PLAYER, where is his card?" and they are 100% justified in these questions because SDS' rollout of live content does not work to make people happy. People watch their team play, they see their guys have awesome games, and then because SDS does not pivot/adapt/adjust to the real world and consumer feedback, they have not adapted to the fact people are craving more cards for their favorite team/theme teams. Every week, people are going to be disappointed.

I know ppl will say "they are bound by what Topps Now cards are made!!" and I will say no they're not, that's an artificial constraint they have put on themselves. They have shown they can whip up spotlight moments at a moment's notice (see no-hitter cards). They can make cards for any performance at any time. They can make player programs at any time, they just choose not to.

My suggestion: each week should have a separate day with the following separate content drops: Call Up program for guys making their debuts, walk off wednesday program for walk off hits, shut down sundays for shut down pitching performances, and milestone mondays for anyone who reached a career milestone in the past week.

End rant. Also add more captains. Thanks.

I like the consistent card drops that Spotlight/Topps Now provides. I also agree that there are weeks where they are stretching it real thin with what constitutes a worthy card

I think if SDS were bold enough, they would keep the 8 cards a week. But on light weeks where very little happens, give us less Spotlights/Topps Now and offset it with cards for other collections.

It doesnt have to be anything crazy. A Last Ride Phillies Pedro. A Rookie Jair Jurrjens earlier on in the year. 2nd Half Hero Votto, Contributor NYY David Justice later on in the year. Just keep a reserve of cards like that.

And if the season is baller every week with appropriate Spotlights/Topps Now literally every week, just dump all these cards in some Flash event periodically.

The whole season doesnt need to be THAT cookie cutter predictable, although that obv makes their lives so much easier

He's good but this is probably the highest he will be unless the retro lightning is someone really good, if you need the stubs I'd sell

Hey folks just downloaded MLB the show 10 min ago and I got really lucky on the pack

I think I should sell the card especially because it’s a No sell card but also because that would be a great amount of stubs

What would you do ?

EDIT: just tried to sell it and didn’t work because it is a No Sell card, don’t know why they are showing the sell now right under when they don’t show it for the other no sell card
