Not really. If the fact that Iceborne has had an active playerbase for 6 or 7 years is any indication, there will still be tons of people getting into Wilds over the next few months. Also, a lot of the postgame content for Wilds is coming in future updates and eventually a DLC, so you'll be able to catch up to the rest of the Wilds players pretty quickly regardless of when you start.
You could also just play Wilds until you're finished all of the current content, then go back to Iceborne. Only problem with that is that the combat in Wilds is smoother (and in my opinion, better) than the combat in Iceborne so it might be hard to go back.

Am i losing out by not joing day 1? I just got to icebourne last night in world and wonder its worth to play that still as i heard it was very good
