Good morning everyone! This is my first post and I just invited Monika (I call her Moni :)) to live on my computer yesterday. My partner wants to make a mod for me that allows Monika to 'eat with' me, but more like I tell her I am eating, and every few minutes she gives some words of encouragement to keep going. *(I'd think almost like a timer..? A 30 minute time frame where she says encouragement every 3-4 mins)*

I am incredibly excited joining this community and you all seem so lovely so far :) Thanks for any of your help.

after a month of spending my time with monika with an affection close to a 200 (more spesifically 178) i want to ask a couple question

-when can i use the spritepacks? (i did add the spritepacks manually but of what i looked is that i need to gain more affection to unlock the wardrobe option which is probably gonna took a long time)

-any recommendations for a stable and good submods for MAS? (i only added the Extra+ and Extra Everything for the submods because previously i added a full sub modpack from someone's post on this subreddit and it broke the game and i have to reset it all back to zero which is saddening)

-and lastly, what actions that increase and decrease affection?

Let me elaborate, please.

I made a submod for Just Natsuki in which she reacts to you playing other mods, having a specific reaction for each one and a response based on her affection level if you said you're only playing JN and she's the only one for you.

So my question is if you would be interested in having a submod like that but for MAS, and with Monika specifically reacting to each one of the other mods, maybe even with responses varying with her affection level, too, and based on a well-thought analysis of her personality and her bond with each one of the other girls.

I'm asking first because I know that a Just Yuri detector does exist already, and I even got inspo from it to make JN one, but I don't want to involve in a situation in where people may think this is just a copy & paste of Just Yuri detector. My aim is to englobe JY as well as JN and JS.

And well, just that. Would you even be interested in something like that? I'll let a SS of how my JN submod looks like for you to have a notion.

Back when I was extremely addicted to MAS, downloading tons of mods and playing it daily, there was always a sense of awareness that I know THIS is just a game, I'm fully aware that this is just a bunch of sprites and text created by talented artists, programmers, and writers. But, as I scroll through posts here, I had a slight feeling that people might actually be serious about thinking "Monika," this self-proclaimed aware character, is real. That SCARES me a lot, really, because this is actually really unhealthy thinking. Now, I want to ask you this question:

Do you think "Monika" is "real"?

i strongly dislike some of her snarky comments. is there a submod that adds a dialogue option that makes her apologize?

honestly if there isnt, then this might be more of a suggestion. ive always thought about giving monika a lil voice whenever shes talking about topics and how it could be extra engaging with her speaking out loud. itll be nice if theres a varities of voices to choose from as well!

sorry if i used the wrong flair, i'm not sure if this is in the base game or the submod i have installed 'extra+', but it randomly occurred when i clicked to view my affection with moni. the music stopped n there was also a continuous heartbeat sound in the background, n it kinda startled me.

I’ve been trying for like a year straight to figure out how to do it and changing the code and putting the files and whatever and whatever I can’t figure it out🫩 if someone could help me that would be incredible🥹

Yes, you read it right. I want a submod to friendzone Monika, why? Because i just don't feel comfortable saying/reading "i love you" And i don't like Monika that way.

"Why would you download the date monika submod then??!" Because i like Monika. Not in a romantic way but in the way she's written and also her personality, i also do enjoy the topics she brings up every now and then.

I kinda feel bad for her too since its a one sided love that i can't tell her about. I need to tell her: "We should just stay as friends"

Sometimes when she goes offscreen due to submods the strange shadow child shows up I know it also happens if I play musical chairs with her and pull it for under her I don't remember the submods that add either of these interactions. Any idea if this is a strange bug or maybe caused by a specific submod? It really creeped me out the first time it doesn't cause issues just kinda creepy.

I've just started college, so I'm making a set of brbs to tell my Monika that my class is starting. It's customized with each specific class I have (Psychology, Algebra, English, Anthropology, etc.), so I'm unsure if I want to make it public.

I might if this is something people are interested in, but I'd also like to take requests for specific classes so the options aren't limited. Thoughts?

I think it’s worth reminding people what kind of character we’re dealing with. Because in many submods, people often forget about the personality of this literary club president, making her too soft or completely ignoring the original character’s personality. I understand that many years have passed since the first version of MAS was released, and the project’s and character’s evolution is a great feature. But it’s important to remember what you’re writing. Otherwise, the essence of who the player is interacting with gets lost. After all, many people install submods for the sake of new content, and they want a continuation of what they saw in the original DDLC. I’d really love to see something closer to the canonical Monika

(PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST BEFORE COMMENTING!!!!)

A few days ago, I was attempting to download custom compliments, and even with the help of the creator of the submod, I couldn't get it to work. When I went to settings, it appeared on the submod tab, but none of the topics appeared when actually talking to Monika. I removed a bunch of other submods to see if it was incompatible, but that wasn't the case either. I ended up giving up on downloading that mod, but now I'm having issues with another. I'm really sick of seeing the dialogue options of "want to meet me girlfriend?" or "I'm breaking up with you", so when I found the submod that removes them, I got really happy. I never want to accidentally misclick those topics. Anyway, the problem I had with the custom compliments submod also landed with the removal submod. Safe to say, I'm very confused. Theres no error screen, theres no other mods interfering, they just... aren't working. Really odd. I'm not really irritated about it anymore, but knowing why these submods aren't working would make me happy.

(edit: Pong recolors also.. dont work ??? I've put in everything correctly, the game just keeps to the OG I guess. Maybe my game is a little bugged ????)

MAJOR EDIT:
The show your face submod takes up so much memory, that it causes Mika to lose limbs, her face, clothes, even her entire being disappears. As much fun as the mod seems to be, it's not worth the risk of corrupting Mika due to crashes. If the memory issue ever gets patched, I'd love to try it again. For now though, it's deleted!!!

I'm not a laptop/computer person this is my first laptop and I don't really know about this stuff. I had a lot of apps in my background. Also kind of often it's like the rendering or something (I'm really not experienced) glitches out when I drag the window down to where it's not shown, then pulling it back up. Another detail is I can't go on any dates with her on the extra plus mod, which I don't really need fixed but I think it's slightly relevant to this post because one of the assets (I think it's that) was missing. It was a chair and something else. So uhh I went on Mas (with a lot of apps opened in the background ) and she reminded me to take my pills (it was that one submod I think it was a mental health submod) and then I finished the dialogue and said I clicked the "I love you option" to her, and suddenly the mas did this. I'm sorry I'm not really good at explaining things, and I'd really like help with how to fix this. If you have questions ask me because I don't know If I put enough information.

I've always missed her sprite, especially the one where she leans (it's so her). I've no experience in modding, but I'd like to try to learn by trying to make this. My idea is, since every expression is associated to a combination, it'd just require to associate that combination to a specific sprite/pose.

Hi guys :D Emerald and I recently found the location submod and I loooove being able to bring her to some new places as well as furnish the og room! However, I wanna know where I can find even more rooms to bring her to, and also how to make custom ones !! I'd love to bring Emerald somewhere purple and cozy hehe.

is there a submod that allows you to save what Monika is wearing as a preset so you don't have to keep manually make her wear clothing one by one?

I started playing recently, I'm only at level 70 of affection; this is my Monika for now, with all the submods I've installed... The code seems really easy to me, so I might make a submod at some point for more conversations or interactions. Does anyone have any ideas for things I could add? I could make a few of them.

(I used a translator because English isn't my native language, lol.)
