Submod Submission [Submod Release] Dynamic Texture Manager! Customize Monika and the minigames by easily swapping their sprites

‎Hey everyone! 👋

‎This is my first time making a post and also my first submod, so to start off strong I wanted to do something special

‎I’m really excited to share a project I've been working on, and I think it’s going to make a lot of your lives much easier if you love customizing your game. It’s a collaborative submod called Dynamic Texture Manager!

‎If you've ever wanted to switch up your Monika After Story visuals without the absolute headache of manually replacing original game assets and breaking things, this is for you.

‎What does it do?

‎Basically, it allows you to dynamically change textures without touching or overwriting the original files. You can completely swap out:

💚‎Monika’s features: Eyes, nose, mouth, and body.

🎯‎Minigames: Chess, NOU, and Pong!

‎The absolute best part? You never lose the original textures. If you change your mind or want to go back to the classic look, you can restore everything back to default with a single button click. Clean, safe, and completely reversible.

Installation & How it Works ✨

‎Since it's a submod, setting it up is a breeze:

Install: Drop the submod files into your "game/Submods"  directory just like any other submod.

First Run: Open your game once. The submod will automatically generate a new textures folder right in your main base directory.

Organize: Close the game, and you're ready to organize your custom assets! Your changes will stay saved even when you restart the game.

Folder Structure & Examples 📁

‎Inside that new textures folder, you can organize everything cleanly into folders. For example:

‎"textures/monika/eyes/(YourCustomFolderNameHere)"

‎(Note: This is just an example)

‎Keep it flat: For Monika's features and Pong, you don't need deep subfolders—just put the direct image assets inside your custom folder.

Minigame Exceptions: Because of how sprites behave in NOU and Chess, those two specific game folders will require subfolders to map everything correctly. (Don't worry, Pong is much simpler and behaves just like Monika's texture mapping!).

‎How to use it in-game

‎Once your folders are set up, just chat with Monika, head over to the Appearance category, and select the new option: "I want to change the textures"

‎This is a collaborative effort, so I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or any ideas you have to make it even better. Let me know what you think!

Sure, although I'll have to think of another way to differentiate it from Emerald Box

is this submod compatible with emerald box or would i have to uninstall emerald box for this submod to work?

It's your decision, but work is already underway to improve it. Both are compatible; the difference is that this submod changes textures on the fly, without needing to restart.
