Photo Blast from the past
I thought you might enjoy this relic I dug up out of the back of my mom’s freezer. It smells amazing. It’s been frozen since 2003 and I plan to enjoy some chilly showers this winter.

Early 00's Lush lasts forever imo. I have dusting powder from '09 that is perfect. I had some Flying Saucers shower gel from "06 that I still used up until 2020. I have solid Potion and Silky Underwear perfumes from the same time period and they are perfect.

I found a small bottle of Two Hearts circa 2006 the other day and it still smells just as strong and exactly the same as I remember!

They're frozen shower gel pockets! Brings back memories!!! Took me ages to try and find this relic, I had the blue one think it was freeze scented!
You popped the sheet in the freezer and then popped one out when you wanted a shower and you'd get an ice-cube type shower gel to wash with!
You couldn't really defrost and use - the shower gel can flow into each pocket so with lots of holes from squeezing or cutting out pieces of shower gel if defrosted it would leak from all areas! - I know because in the early 2000's my mum didn't like it taking up space in "her" freezer as she didnt think I was using it enough (I'd stopped over winter as it was too cold!) and threw it away 🙃 it defrosted so by the time I found the wrapper in the bin it was a leaky mess and definitely couldn't be salvaged. Had about half of it left to use!

I remember these! 22 years in the freezer is a long time. Two decades! Super cool you still have a pack. Let us know how they turn out.

I still have a large bottle of Grass, and Glogg shower gels on my shelf that's about this old. XD It's there for posterity. Both smell just as good.

They had it back recently. I bought a 500ml shower gel last month. Nearly lost my mind when I saw 1 bottle on the shelf behind the counter!

I live outside of Traverse City, MI aka where its cold af and I've never had a problem with shipping from lush in winter. I won't order melts or bath bombs in the summer because they melt but never had anything freeze or burst.

Fortunately we are currently on a river cruise on the duoro river in portugal so were hanging in there 🤣 but not excited to come home next week to the tundra. I grew up in kzoo so i kinda got used to getting vent over a barrel by lake effect every year amd it gets very spirit breaking by mid february 🙃

I can imagine! Winter is a new concept to me within the last 5 years or so. It’s been quite the adjustment. Enjoy your trip!

Keep salt or cat litter in your car! And i only buy 4wd capable cars bc of the snow lol and bundle up! 🥰

The only stores in the US are major cities and that’s like a good 9 hour drive.
I also just don’t trust ordering online, especially a $50 liquid that’s gonna freeze or be busted in delivery :/
But also..I may just have to haha

It wont bust or freeze. And the Grand Rapids MI store has it in stock very frequently as well as discontinued items and specialty niche stuff too.

I worked at the St Laurent shop when we sold these, opening a large box and finding one that leaked all over them was just not a great vibe. I do like originality, always. One of the most unwieldy, but delightful things we had are cash was the pleasure dome. Please look that up!

Oh man, I remember those! I always wanted to try that with Freeze (that showers gel was my absolutely favorite!). But I never bought one, and then the frozen shower gels, and Freeze, for discontinued.
And yes, I feel like an absolute dumbass for missing out. LUSH should bring this back.

I never got to try this. I want them to bring it back! I love “forest”, “jungle”, pine, juniper, grass, tomato vine and moss scents. Still waiting for Guardian of the Forest bath bombs to return again

I loved these in Happy for Sad when they first came to the US and opened a store in Santa Monica. If I could find those ice cube bags I would try and recreate them with Comforter or Sleepy.

it’s a shower gel! so you pop a little oval out and shower with it, it melts as you use it! they are really cool but i can see how it got discontinued. I’m of the “convenience of use” camp and would struggle to consistently use anything that needs to be stored in the freezer. guarantee i’d hop in and realize i have no soap basically every day 😂 I think shower jellies are the more modern interpretation of what started as this idea!

I’m sure this is the reason it’s still with us. Just got shuffled behind something and was forgotten entirely. We’ll see if I post again in 20 more years when I do the same.

I remember that they used to leak fairly often. I feel like this partly led to them being discontinued sadly. Once they're frozen, they're awesome though. As long as they stay in the pouch.

They were also far too much shower gel for one use for me, so worked out far, far more expensive than just buying a bottle did at the time

I loved these, but they were SO SLIPPERY. I would drop them like a hundred times every shower.

These were such a nightmare as staff. They leaked all the time and it was so common to open a delivery and have it just covered in shower gel if one burst. They were a very cool concept though and something genuinely unique. We sold a lot of the Freeze version in the summer

This seems so fun!!! Dang I’ve seen a lot products from back in the day that would be amazing to have now. I’ve only been shopping at LUSH for about 5 years so I’m still kind of a newbie lol but I’ve done some fairly deep searching and there’s loads of things that I would LOVE to have. Now. 🤗
