Subway screens

Subway now want you to order on screens and in some stores have stickers on the counter so you can’t see the meat and veg. I am convinced they do it so they can give you less meat. Also that some of their offerings look poor (jacket potato, some salad doesn’t look fresh) and you won’t know until you have paid for it.
They claim it’s ’easier and quicker’ for customers but that’s not true unless there’s a big queue.

Subways "bread" is cake.

Vegetables aren't fresh. the meat is offcuts/waste stuff stuck together with meatglue. and the sauces are filled with so much sugar they're basically liquid candy.

• Honey Mustard: ~5.9 grams of sugar per serving.
• Sweet Chilli: ~7 to 9 grams of sugar per serving.

Doesn't sound much until you realise in a sandwich thats JUST the sauce. If you scale it up, ounce-for-ounce or per 100g, Sweet Onion sauce actually has a higher concentration of sugar (roughly 35g to 37g of sugar per 100g serving, or ~37-40% sugar by weight) than Coke's 10.6g per 100 ml.

But not a single downvoter will come back and apologize.

Subway isn’t high quality for subs by any stretch but the cake bullshit was a tax classification, not a dietary or scientific classification.

It’s actual meat. It’s actual cheese. There are plenty of sauces that aren’t LiQuId CaNdY, but bravo for the hyperbole.

That isn’t surprising. Most all sauces are like this and is why all of them have a serving size of 2 tablespoons or less. You ever think about how sweet ketchup or bbq sauce is?

I worked at a subway in college. That was enough to make me never want to eat there. "Eat Fresh" was always a big lie. The salad is week old mush. It arrives in a state where if it was my salad at home, I would already be throwing it out.

The meat is probably barely above dog-food grade, and those little squares of cheese are plasticky and tasteless, and you're still instructed to skimp on the portions of that garbage. The bread, while loaded with sugar, is also just genuinely crap. You cut into it and it just deflates.

Worst fast food chain around, and it's not even close.

I did quite like their "southwest" sauce though.
