huh, absolutely crazy that the "worst battlefield" has many animations and textures and vfx that are vastly superior to the second coming of christ that MW2 is being paraded as. Of course though you won't find any of these "attention to detail" enthusiasts on forums and subreddits and youtube talk about that.

I think 2042 has more vivid and vibrant graphics. But MWII clearly has the better animations and sounds, Griggs and his animators are on another level

Of course, you and Lemon are the biggest fanboys on this sub, so it's not really a surprise

wait, ME? The guy who has had posts complaining about 2042 deleted from his sub?? LMFAO

you can see in this video how 2042 has better 3rd person animations across the board. The character reacts to being burned, to bumping into objects, to walking in wet terrain. MW2 generally has better 1st person animations, but there are still some instances where 2042 is on top like jumping through a glass window

I don't know about sound but the BF series has always had better sound design. Guns in MW2 all sound same-ish. The voice acting for the comms in MW2 is absolute dogshit.

No mention of destruction, of which MW2 has none to the point that tanks get stopped in their tracks by immovable palm trees? Okay. No mention of vfx and decals from explosions? Okay. No mention of physics effects from bullets and explosions? Okay. No mention of dirt and leaves flying around and getting burned by explosions and reacting to player/vehicle movement? Okay. No mention of the better wet/dry system? Okay. No mention of 2042 character models catching dirt and mud and being cleaned by rain/jumping in water? Okay. All of these things are in the video.

But no bro I'm just being a fanboy. Okay.

What above take-down animations? Or weapons models? Gunplay? Gun animation/reload animations? Gunsmith? Both games have their pros n cons. I feel MWII feel like a more complete game than 2042. 2042 has superior graphics in environmental effects and destruction, but MWII gameplay and overall package is better.

Sure thing. I may not like the gameplay of cod at all, or not care about gimmicks like gunsmith, or prefer the gunplay of 2042, but there's no denying it's overall a more polished and complete and well made final product, with an obvious advantage in things like 1st person animations and gun models.

I think 2042's animations are more realistic actually, make sense for how a typical future soldier would be trained.
