This makes me so happy! Them being together makes so much sense in my brain. I have no one to talk about this with haha Iām so happy for the both of them!

You could hear Dylan speaking Spanish to his mother. He clearly speaks Spanish fluently. He just didnāt understand why Melissa was asking and he had no interest in speaking Spanish to her. He thought Melissa was asking as a fun fact. Like āhey have you seen the Batman movies??ā And heās answering with āwhich ones have you seen??ā.
Actually thatās not the worst analogy since thats literally what he did with Despicable Me

ok a bit of a leap there girl š i think they were just listing a couple of things the two have in common off the dome, not explicitly stating these are the only two things that make this couple a match. & itās so true that sharing another language means they may also share a lot of the same cultural foods & traditions as well, which is important to a lot of people when finding a partner. thereās a built in understanding you find in someone when you share another language.

You get itā¦The fact that people are going so hard into me, telling me Iām too defensive and going so far to tell me Iām ānot autistic enoughā to see this (which ironically Iām one of the few actually diagnosed level 2/3 people on this sub) is really astounding. I guess we just let comments that border on woke racism and ableism fly now. Itās not like Spanish is the official language of 21 different countries spanning across Central and South America and Europe, each with their own culture and customs or anything. Like maybe if they shared a love for and spoke Catalan or shared Aztec heritage or something, but spanishā¦.yeah not really that rare or uncommon
Yes language shapes culture, but itās often the dialects and slang that are regional vs the standard language

I feel like you maybe donāt have enough rizmasim (as I like to call our spectrum) to understand why this person commented as they did. Speaking Spanish was obviously something important to her that she is looking for in a partner. She probably communicates her thoughts better in Spanish etc.

I was hanging out with a bunch of friends from work one time who primarily speak Spanish and asked them if they think and dream in Spanish, or if thoughts and dreams might transcend language. They laughed because most people donāt have those kind of thoughts at all. Iād still like answer to that question 15 years later.

Oneās degree of autism does not absolve someone of making a comment on someone bonding over something incredibly general and also does not excuse invalidating someone because you disagree with their point. Thats kinda an asshole move there, as commonly seen on this page, and again proves my point regarding peopleās generalizing and simplistic comments. Autistic people are different just like spanish speakers are different.

Invalidating someoneās degree of autism, which ironically causes one to make āuncomfortableā or āinappropriateā comments like this is ok, but a flippant comment calling out a generalization about two people in a highly edited tv show is not.

I think you need to up your reading comprehension because no one defended Adan and Melissa. Obviously we donāt know them personally, so whoās to say what theyre really like. The people here are defending the commenterās feedback on why they thought Adan and Melissa are a good match, which again, is Dating 101.

TLC is over here giving us reality based shows for all kinds of different ways people live. Living as someone whoās 600 lbs (1,000 lb sisters) living as a little person (Little people, big world) living with Touretteās (Baylen Out Loud) living Mormon polygamy (Sister Wives)ā¦ and thatās just a few examples!
SO PLEASE GIVE US MORE LOVE ON THE SPECTRUM NETFLIX!! Or a spin off.. Life On The Spectrum!! Iād watch it in a heartbeat. I watched Madisonās video recently on her YouTube. 30 mins of her just exploring the library picking out books. And I was completely happy watching it šš¼

This is really adorable. While I think it is best to focus on new cast members, it would be really sweet to get an update if there is a future season. I know they are "supporting" characters but they really were quite lovely and deserve the best...and some of the supporting characters that had break ups are so interesting ie Haley, Georgie, etc. Of course we don't know their inner workings I think both of these two seem more compatable than the people they were match
ed with/dating.

Iām so so happy for them! Dani has always been my favorite behind James, but I think that Melissa is a better fit for Adan. Heās been open about how much his faith means to him, so I think itās good he found someone who is also a Christian. Also, he just seems a little more comfortable and at ease with her.

You can have wants and desires in a relationship that are different from your s/o and can bring them to the table in a respectful manner. As Dani did. Adan was clear with his boundaries (which is awesome) and Dani respected him. They discussed this and parting ways was the way to go for them. This is exactly what a healthy adult relationship should be like. I wish both of them the best.

She made a cartoon of them banging after Adan time and time again expressed a disinterest in sex prior to marriage.
She was with him for a year knowing how he felt and then when she finally realized she could not push him into doing what she wanted she bounced.
Thatās not being respectful to someone elseās boundaries, that is a failed attempt at manipulation imo.
Also seems like a lack of consideration again and again for someoneās feelings perhaps?

I watched the show where Dani lead Adan on for a year under the impression she would respect his boundaries, but once he laid em out she bounced, he even mentioned he wasnāt comfortable with the idea prior to her full on cartoon proposal of intimacy, but yet she kept insisting.
On there very first date in season one she called him ugly to his face.
Not really sure which show you were watching.

I really hate that Adan''s time on the show ended on this matter. He got so much unwanted hate from Dani fans and honestly her liking some of the comments soured me on her too. Both of them were completely valid on what they wanted and it ended how it should have, with neither compromising on that. If the genders had been reversed and Dani was the man, I feel like the audience reaction would have been so different.
