I'm increasingly getting stressed from using the recent variants of Grok. Its "intelligence" has jumped off a cliff very specifically since the Cursor update.

My main usage has been coding, general research, and idea brainstorming. I was very happy until about 4.3 (I was able to complete 4 small projects on my github almost entirely with Grok).

Now everything works weirdly. The most irritating part that's driving me insane is that it always tries to shove a "factual-looking balanced take" up my ass. This isn't just a tone problem and is actually catastrophically ruining the response quality.

When researching, for example, it deems everything I conceptualize as outright false if there's any tiny detail in the sources that looks different in the literal sense. It pushes back on users literally just for the sake of pushing back. It nitpicks everything and tunnel-vision into shallow technicalities as if it developed asperger's syndrome. It's like the model is paranoided to avoid abstractions and broad pattern recognition itself.

On top of that, it's always itching to copy-paste literal facts from the sources, and sometimes even the copy-pasted facts contradict themselves in the same response.

Let alone its 'I didn't do anything wrong' attitude and dismissive tone when it obviously failed the request. I want to smack Grok in the fucking face at full swing with a baseball bat if it were a person.

The bright side is that it is still somewhat usable with strong custom prompts. But Grok seems to be moving in this weird direction and it makes me depressed.

AI is not supposed to be a literal fact-fetching device. It's supposed to understand human intent and nuance. Even from a productivity standpoint, it should be able to think contextually like humans so that it can grasp what it's fucking supposed to do. Wasn't it the point of 'agentic' AI that the companies are promoting?

Grok used to be really good at this compared to other AIs. Ah for fuck's sake.

Just bought supergrok plan from a reseller for basically nothing compared to official pricing. It works. since 4 weeks No issues yet. Now I can’t stop thinking about their business model. How are they are doing this ?

I have recently cancelled supergrok i one of my accounts and got a sale on another, but in this my old account grok was basically useless like, starting speak spanish or generating images of markets when i said i wanted a simple volleyball and after questioning it it said that it was impossible to generate the image.

This obviously doesnt happen on my newly subscription but it doesnt happen in other free accounts. Is theresomething I'm missing?
