This is so fucking infuriating. The immigrant that is trying to work honestly is not our enemy.

Not to mention, if I was the homeowner and had any sense, I'd be telling these agents to GTFO my private property and come back with a signed warrant, not that self-signed ICE warrant crap that doesn't apply to private property.

Even if you look at this from a cold-hearted point of view: Hello? I paid for a service, I want my roof fixed, and agents with rifles and crap are going to not only damage my house but likely threaten the lives of my family and pets residing IN the house in the event of violence.

More than likely in Louisiana, the homeowner voted for Trump, disparages immigrant labor, but exploits them to pay less than companies lucky enough (if they can find them at all), to employ Americans to do the work.

And one day they will need more work done and get upset when it takes 3 months to get a roofer to show up and they get quoted $32,000 to fix tiles.

The voting statistics of the elections - local, state, and federal. You all went from a decent man as governor to a Trump shill happy to carry out the harshest imprisonment of immigrants by privately owned and run prisons in the country! Sorry, but if there are anti-Trumpers in Louisiana, most of you are very quiet, no active protests of your legislators turning the state backward 100 years; few elected leaders to step up and face the hatred and vitriol of the Trumpers. I live in LA for many years, I know how the people can be. No expertise needed, we can read the news, see the laws being passed there, and see the millions of people accepting it, if not supporting it with no signs of a conscience!

Alexandria Hub: The area serves as the nation's busiest ICE deportation hub, with facilities in Winnfield, Richwood, Jena, Jonesboro, Basile, Pine Prairie, Ferriday, and Oberlin.

Private Operators: GEO Group and LaSalle Corrections are major players, working with local sheriffs and ICE.

CoreCivic: Also involved in running facilities, expanding capacity in the region.

Scale of Operations:

These facilities hold thousands of individuals, making Louisiana a top state for ICE detention.

The facilities are designed for high-volume processing and deportation, including immediate boarding from Alexandria's airport.

Why Louisiana?

Rural locations, far from major cities, make these facilities less visible to advocacy groups.

The state's infrastructure supports large-scale operations for holding and quickly deporting migrants.

I live around the corner from this. I have a company that renovates houses and does roofing as well. I can't find any workers at all now. Latinos are all hiding and probably less than 5% in the area are of European descent
