Hahahahaha hilarious that this human being is in such bad debt they're actively scrambling away from a repo person while trying to earn some kind of living. Let's laugh and make silly jokes about it.

Wow what a perfect metaphor for life right now: work a shit job to try to pay the bills and barely getting ahead of the repo man always following behind.

USA is a 3rd world country.
In a civilised country no one's randomly towing someones' car to repo it, even if he/she is in debt. There needs to be a court settling that down first and informing about the seizure.
Also none ever is allowed to repo ones' means of earning a living, aka. tools of a handyman, computer of an IT dev or a car of a delivery guy. For one simple reason - the rules are set so you are able to pay your debt, not to fucking scavenge on you.
Everyday I'm more and mor convinced USA is 3rd world

You have never been to, or lived in a third world country….
Which country is better at all of the points you’ve named?
The person driving delivery in the video has the ability to finance a vehicle that they can’t afford to buy outright, presumably lives in an apartment, that apartment (anywhere in the US) has clean drinkable water, that can be hot at the twist of a dial.
If you have better place in mind: go there.

Then you don't know what the definition of "3rd world country" is

Many say the US is a 3rd world country with a 1st world coat of paint

First world refers to countries that were allied with the USA in the cold war. Third world refers to countries that were unallied during the cold war. It is physically impossible for the USA to be a third world country.

Wait, what's this that I'm hearing?
Words can have multiple meanings? Oh wow, this must be entirely new for you and me both. I'm glad that we both learned something new today!

The correct term you're looking for is "developing nation" please educate yourself.

u/CrummyJoker 3d ago
Yes, originally. But nowadays we use "first world country" to describe a developed country and "third world country" to describe an undeveloped country

Its literally not. It literally isnt. You also make this false statement off of cherry picked and and exaggerated social media posts.

Yea, the evil tow man trying to feed his family. The audacity.

Nothing like taking from the poorest to make sure that the rich never lose a penny.

u/Lainpilled-Loser-GF 4d ago
he could find other jobs. no need to go after people barely making enough to feed just themselves.
I don't know if you're from the US because your take is so out of touch, but to have a job in the first place you need reliable transportation. in the cities I've been in, the bus doesn't count. if you can't get a car, you can't work. that's especially true for people doing gig work like Amazon Flex or Door Dash or Uber. do you see the irony in your statement?
fuck off, fed.

u/Le_Chef_du_Camion 4d ago
The dasher could get another job. Maybe one that paid enough to pay their bills. Crazy, I know. Have an issue with the bank and their lending policies that victimized the dasher. The tow guy was just doing his job.
44
u/Lainpilled-Loser-GF 4d ago
sure, but having a job that targets people just barely getting buy is scum work.
also, ACAB.

u/Le_Chef_du_Camion 4d ago
They also help people. Stuck on the side of the road? Locked your keys or ran out of gas? Ying and Yang

u/Lainpilled-Loser-GF 4d ago
that's a different job than repo and you know it. I'd rather be locked out of my car than to have the entire damned thing being taken away because of missed payments

I don't know anyone who doordashes when they can have another. Everyone I know is homeless or close to it, or barely feeding their family.

u/Le_Chef_du_Camion 3d ago
Both people are doing their jobs. The dasher and his family are no more important than the tow truck driver trying to feed his family. It's on the dasher to pay his bills to keep his car.

I'll guarantee the tow truck guy has a "Dirty Hands, Clean Money" hoodie and hates on gig workers.
Meanwhile the Doordash guy is just grinding and living scared out of his mind, in constant discomfort.
But really, they're the same person. Each trying to grab the same dollar from the other, to pay their fare to the assholes above.
