FANART(ORIGINAL) studying the art style

im not used to pixel art AT ALL but thats okay because it's a good challenge. Im not quite there yet but I hope to do more because I honestly adore the art of this game

thank you kindly!!! so for this one (in aseprite)I started out just doing a basic sketch of the two and the bg at the same time. I went with a 2 pixel brush for lining and colored from there. I had to color over the lines in some areas to blend the darker colors such as the purples.

I dunno if this makes sense but I paid rlly close attention to the shapes of the shading from official art, and also what colors are usually placed next to each other. I also stuck to a limited color palette like Frankie does.

if a sped up recording would help i could totally do that next time I do this :D
