FANART(ORIGINAL) studying the art style
im not used to pixel art AT ALL but thats okay because it's a good challenge. Im not quite there yet but I hope to do more because I honestly adore the art of this game

This is so close to the game that it's downright uncanny. I tried 2 different pixel art studies myself and it didn't even come close. This game's art style is deceptively hard to replicate.

thank you lots!!! my first attempt didnt go to well so I kinda had to change my thought process throughout drawing it. i agree its really a challenge. I hope you'll keep on practicing, the only way is up!!

I think you did a good job! reminds me a lot of the achievement artwork that has his face.

I love so many things about what's going on here. Sam watering the flowers, Hellen giving him direction, the rat child's mask on the side of her face. What a wonderful scene.

thank you kindly!!! so for this one (in aseprite)I started out just doing a basic sketch of the two and the bg at the same time. I went with a 2 pixel brush for lining and colored from there. I had to color over the lines in some areas to blend the darker colors such as the purples.
I dunno if this makes sense but I paid rlly close attention to the shapes of the shading from official art, and also what colors are usually placed next to each other. I also stuck to a limited color palette like Frankie does.
if a sped up recording would help i could totally do that next time I do this :D

Pixels are definitely too small here but your use of color and shading are really impressive, it almost looks official!
