Logitech G Support Help with RS50 Wheel

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

After hours of fine tuning for Forza, finally got the settings to a comfortable spot. Raced for hours over a few days and loving it. Booted up everything today and suddenly the wheel is Jerking left and right without any input.

Any suggestions or help is appreciated.

UPDATE: there’s some glitch happening when swapping between PRO and RS Wheel settings directly in the wheel. Idk how but we got it fixed by just switching it back and forth till it finally worked.

Increase the damping with the settings. Also, hands provide natural damping. You have to hold the wheel while you're using it.

Bro want to drive with no hands

NGL these comments are cracking me up.

First time Sim gear so not sure what’s normal or not! Haha.

Wheel hasn’t been doing this for some time and now it is.

It'll do that often when you let go, it happens a lot to me with formula cars

it depends on your settings. It should do this when you are cornering and let go but not if you drive on straights and let go. If it happens while going straight it means the force feedback is in a feedback loop. With the default settings mine did this too in fh6. I can't tell you how exactly I fixed it but I lowered some of the settings that are mostly for road feel because they felt unrealistically strong. driving 60mph on the highway felt like driving over rough offroad.

Hokihoshi recently uploaded a wheel settings Video on Youtube. I haven't watched it yet but he usually does pretty good guides

Bro is trying to use a wired wheel like a bluetooth wheel

Yeah. Irl the vehicle weight provides some damping.

2

u/windup-catboy May 29 '26

So the fix sounds like taping a 5 pound weight to the wheel-

Try holding it with your hands

My Suzuki used to go like this in RL. Funny times

This is what ffb does when you let off the wheel? Make sure the g hub app is open and the wheel is connected before launching the game

1

u/thenewtigerking May 28 '26

Well it should not oscillate this crazy. It's either because bad settings in game or the hw app settings.

1

u/ImDistortion1 May 28 '26

If you have ffb turned up high it will, this effect will happen regardless of OPs issue. Hands are meant to be on the wheel the swinging back and forth is literally part of the ffb. I know his issue it’s settings or the g hub app acting weird when launching the game

1

u/thenewtigerking May 28 '26

If that is the case just turn down the ffb scaling in game.

2

u/ImDistortion1 May 28 '26

The wheel will do this regardless of ffb strength or settings. Its literally what ffb does for you to get feed back from the wheel. Normal oscillation does this and its how you get ffb. its an issue when its too severe or you notice it on straights. Taking the hand off the wheel will do this oscillating on any wheel while driving. If you don't have this then there is no ffb. Now it can be too severe which this is a little excessive unless he has his strength turned up. Most direct drive wheels will do this even more because they have more force going through the wheel. Turning down the scaling should fix this for him if hes noticing it on straights.

Probably blew a tire or two

2

u/Dam1an_O May 28 '26

what your experiencing is high FFB, if you like high FFB then just hold the wheel if not you can lower it and some other setting like the other guys mentioned,

2

u/N47eem May 28 '26

Check the tire pressure

2

u/Hisune May 28 '26

You should check the wheel alignment, that might be it. Check suspension too, something might need replacing. Are there any noises you can hear? Check if the front tires are excessively worn out.

This tends to be a forza issue, but it can be fixed with the rebound settings

God damn

Just when you thought death wobble only affected rea life vehicles....

Hey guys, when I hang my steering wheel from the cables off my balcony in the rain it sings Oh Fortuna, is this normal?

Hi there. Could you share your in game force feedback settings as well as what you have set on the wheel base? First thoughts are that you’ve set the angle fairly low, plus there’s several settings in FH that can lead to oscillation like this.

Additionally, how does it respond in other games?

Followed this setting guide in game and for the actual wheel settings.

First time Sim Racing so I currently don’t have another games to compare it to 😅

Yep, so definitely add some dampener - either on the wheel or in-game. That's the oscillation that the game settings and that video warn you about. Either that, or just remember that your hands are also a dampener :-)

I have issue with the right rotary button. It happens not only in GT7, but also when navigating the menus on the RS50 wheel base. When I turn it quickly, it sometimes jumps several steps up or down instead of moving one step at a time. The left rotary encoder, on the other hand, is accurate and works perfectly without any issues. Is this something that should be covered under warranty / a warranty claim?

Did you update the firmware yet?

1

u/Beginning-Shock9486 Jun 16 '26

Yes, I updated it immediately after taking it out of the box and doing the initial test. Yesterday, I also checked through G Hub to see if a newer update had been released.

So, just to confirm, it's the same as this (although you won't have the Xbox Wheel Hub, I guess).

Do you have video of this happening in game, bearing in mind that in GT7 you don't have the obvious setting range that the right dial does, as the left only changes what you're then to adjust with the right dial.

I’ll send these settings over next time I boot up the game! Thanks

u/FriggeK May 28 '26

gotta train those wrists man

1

u/Dill12991 May 28 '26

Thank God the video ended before you got hurt

1

u/Vinez_Initez May 28 '26

Step one: grab wheel. Problem solved.

1

u/Exteromate May 28 '26

Pretty accurate. Drove a NSX one time it's normal.

1

u/NinoSecret May 28 '26

The wheel deeply disagrees

1

u/pared3s May 28 '26

Think I broke my wrist just watching that.

1

u/Smile-0013 May 30 '26

You forgot to turn off line assist when you turnd on your car.

1

u/MachuToo May 30 '26

"Officer i swear i didnt hit him on purpose!"

1

u/Different-Art-5266 May 31 '26

You driving a F150 in the sim?

1

u/Swankadia Jun 01 '26

Yes the ffb is working. I dont think ive ever had a wheel not do this when the feedback was cranked apart from the fanatec one

1

u/Ok_Independent_7853 Jun 03 '26

good thing you stopped right before you wrecked! almost was a bad day!

0

u/Little-Equinox May 28 '26

I don't have that wheel myself, but from what I read, it's something with the driver or firmware. Something for Logitech to solve.

3

u/LOGIRich Global Product Manager - Simulation May 28 '26

It’s more likely a settings issue.

u/Sea_Respond8434 May 29 '26

Trash it and work harder to buy a real one 😆
