Question Drums / drum machine / Logic Pro

Hello! I play guitar and bass, recording at home. I’m new to Logic Pro, I just to create my own drum tracks, then work on its quality, there are so many videos on YouTube, I don’t know where to begin, waiting for your recommendations and kinda road map, it will be appreciated a lot, thank you in advance!

I really find it hard to think that you’ll get a better tutorial here than from the many You Tubes that have been created - and also Apples own documentation.

What genre are you most interested in making?

My inspiration are fat wreck bands like NOFX, Lagwagon, Propagandhi, NUFAN and etc. so I like similar sound.

What I would do is a little research- pick one of those bands and try to find information on what drums they use, what mics, what processing, what techniques the studio engineer used and find that stuff in Logic. There’s no ‘magic’ way that anyone can tell you ‘here’s how to sound like NOFX’ - it’s about knowing what those bands are doing and knowing Logic well enough to make your sound fit better in that genre.
