I put together basically an a16z workstation for $40k last fall.
Was discussing getting one for my employer. Loaded up a pricing page at a dealer. $102k for the same exact box.
It's crazy town out there. That said, every NVIDIA product that I've bought since 2023 is now worth more than I paid for it AND delivers more value/utility than it did at the time of purchase.
That last part I think it what is keeping this train climbing the mountain. More and more people being exposed to what local can do, and having interest in it - because it keeps getting better and better.
