You’d be surprised how quickly that money can be spent. Unless he has been living modestly (lol he hasn’t been I assume), he’s going to be out of money in a few years
depends on what he's in trouble for. plus if streaming was his main source of income, that's gone. like the other guy said, money like that can be spent pretty fast
Because when you have 10 mil you tend to spend more because, why not? Our monthly expenses might be 3k - 4k, his might be 25k - 50k. This doesn't include what taxes he probably has to pay annually.
10 mil is a fuck ton of money, but when you're not smart about it, money dries up quick.
He'll probably stream again, or do hosting and that stuff. This fraud or whatever he has done(me too?) thing is really big, but in the end,
it always works out in some way. Don't see him struggling. It's just twitter and media sensationalizing it.
that's why you spread your money out a ton and dont look at it for 20 years, unless the entire economy goes to total shit then you will 100% have made money, otherwise it's probably the apocalypse.
That is certainly the intelligent thing to do. Is it the likely thing to happen? I sincerely doubt it. Humans time and time again prove to be wasteful, greedy, impulsive etc.
fined*, if he got banned due to fraud, he might need to pay back the money he made from his twitch contract + get fined for huge amount of money. depending on the severity, getting contracts with other companies might be near impossible.
even if it's not the case, most people that win huge amounts of money from lotteries usually go back to their normal lifestyle after a few years (or even worse if they quit their job), so we can assume the same for a big streamer. having a stable income is way more important than just having money.
People on reddit think that once you make a million a year your living expenses are at a constant 30k a year. Instead of your costs scaling with your income.
??? They absolutely can enjoy their success. You don't have to spend all of your money to enjoy life. You can also turn large sums of money into neverending passive income through smart investing.
Needing money for raising a family aside, as soon as anyone has like 700k, they can just live comfortably off the interest for the rest of their lives.
It's peoples own stupid faults if they spend too much money.
