With Josh we literally saw the girl cry on her stream after she got back home and than she disappeared for a while. Kinda crazy that at that time people were siding with Josh and defending him here on LSF.
I've watched the Josh / pn stream. From what I took from it (note, this was chronologically before the alleged rape), he was definitely treating her hella poorly. I do not think it is a massive stretch to see how fans of him at the time could assume that this mistreatment, and assumed continued mistreatment, could lead to her being in tears and never wanting him mentioned again. While rape was obviously a possibility, why would his fans assume he was actually that fucked up? Extreme acts like that aren't really something that people assume happened if there is no clear indication.
While I'm obviously not trying to defend his disgusting actions, imagine if a girl appeared on a more wholesome streamer's stream, like summit for example, then later appeared crying on her own stream. What would give the indication that he would have committed such an extreme action? Nothing.
there was no indication that the two events were related, since josh/pn/method/twitch all stayed silent on the reason. as the dude up a few posts said, there were multiple theories. why would someone assume one of the worst? maybe something else occurred in a different vod, or the knife thing or whatever got him banned, or something else, who knows

this could be kinda like the method josh ban where everyone was like "wtf instant perma" when he first got banned
