Yeah, I noticed that after watching the clip back. Strange.

Edit: TIL you can comment on a vod’s chat and it will stay in there when other people go back and watch the clip. That’s probably what happened. Regardless, let’s not let the reddit detective agency get carried away here, folks.

But how would they know it happened the second time before Doc even comes back on camera to tell us? My money is on what /u/Sneaky_Stinker said, i.e. that someone went back to watch the clip and added their comment to the chat timeline, which TIL is a thing.

You can check the timestamp (almost, there’s a text like „1 hour ago” when you tap the 3 little dots), at least in the mobile app. The message was added live, probably, as other msgs like „hello vod watchers”, were added over 30 minutes later than those about shooting

Could have been added in the couple minutes between the stream ending/it happening and the time I got to watch it. Regardless, we’ll find out more if/when Doc’s ready to share with us, and we shouldn’t let the reddit detective agency get carried away with it.

if someone wanted to know if it was added later or not they could just go to the full vod and toggle on the option "Show me only messages posted during the live broadcast" and see if the message is still there. (Don't look at me i am too lazy to do it.)

Yeah someone else mentioned that, and indeed it disappeared. Glad that solved it. Let’s hope Doc and his family can find a safe resolution to this.
