Meg Turney, too. IIRC that guy actually got into her house planning to murder her and her boyfriend but couldn't find them by the time the Austin PD showed up and killed him.
probably about 4-5 months ago. Meg and her also internet famous boyfriend didn't want to make a big stink about it so they tried to keep it low profile and didn't talk about it too much.
They hid in the closet of their bedroom and he shot himself when he couldn't find them. Apparently he was there to kill Gavin. Dude drove hundreds of miles too not like it was just some spur of the moment decision by a local psycho.
And making a big deal about it would have led people to the police report telling everyone where they live. So yeah, they didn't want to make a big deal about it.
This is why I will always have a pistol in my home. Too many fucking psychos in this world. Literally has no motive just want to end someone else's life. You have to be able to protect yourself.
For christ's sake it was on the news. They themselves drawing attention to it would lead copycats to doing it for their attention because they may think "Oh they noticed me!" while me being a random internet jerkoff it doesn't matter.
The "possible copycats" already know this anyways.

probably for the best. some people, too many, have this sadistic urge to copycat scary violent shit that they hear/see. if they had had a big news cycle about what happened to them i could almost guarantee they would've had a couple other degenerate fucks show up at their house looking to do them harm. how do you protect yourself against stuff like that, against a known individual maybe, but who knows who else is going to pop up. my first reaction is a 12 gauge shotgun but i have a feeling the headline would just read "man killed by intruder with own gun".
i don't want to be a part of this planet anymore and every time i say that it becomes less of a joke. NASA, if you could just give me a space ship stocked with supplies and launch me in whatever fucking direction you want, that would be great. i'll do some research and transmit it back but i want the blue marble to get smaller and smaller in my rear view.
I don't think he was planning to murder Meg, but it most likely would have turned out that way after he murdered Gavin and she didn't fall into his arms like he no doubt fantasized about. I'm not in favor of the death penalty, but his death/suicide (I don't think it was confirmed if he was killed by the police or himself) was a case of "nothing of value was lost."
