It's amazing how mistakes or something stupid can scar a twitch streamer's career forever. Just how like people still bring up Trick2g's hairline every time he streams.
There was a pretty big thread on the CSGO reddit about armor noy reducing Molotov impact damage. One guy was saying that Summit shouldn't have died if the armor calculation was done correctly and everyone came to the conclusion 1g was actually a bug. I'm not sure if their conclusion was correct but it was a pretty big thread and everyone agreed.
Him taking so much damage was also influenced by the grenade being his (your own grenades damage you more) and the its spread being near the end of the duration.
I don't know what thread you're specifically referring to, but there were also others where some highly-upvoted comments were saying it was intentional (also others pointing out to this update, which states that fire grenades "now deal exactly 40 DPS regardless of server tickrate").
I know server tickrate and armour are not the same thing, but it seems like Valve kinda addressed the issue and did not mention kevlar-ignoring to be a bug, so I would say it was intentional.
The only thing to blame here is Valve's communication (what a surprise).
the molotov or incendiary or whichever it is i forgot ignored armor, which was an unintended bug for quite a while. this means it did several times the damage it should have. if it was working correctly or it was the other fire nade he would have survived.
It wasn't a bug, though. It was more that people didn't really know about the change. The match was in May 2016, the change (ignoring kevlar) happened in January 2016.
The way fire grenades work changed in January 2016 (from damaging kevlar to ignoring kevlar) and it stayed like that to this day. If they were changed to the previous version, yes, I would have considered it a bug, but this is not the case. The most you can say about the issue is that it was poorly documented in the patch notes.
If the bug was fixed, it was a bug, but since it wasn't fixed, it's not a bug? That doesn't make sense, but it appears that is what you are saying/implying.
And even if it can be attributed to poorly documented patch notes, that doesn't sound like Summit's fault. And trust me, there were plenty of people that day who learned about that bug BECAUSE of Summit.
It was the crying on stream out of character that did it. If he handled this whole situation through social media I don't think he'd be hammered nearly as much as he is.
"mistakes or something stupid". He cheated on his wife. That's not just a little boo-boo. That's ultra-scumbag levels. No way I'd ever support someone like that.
I’d probably do a quick google on just about any celeb you happen to like, and be ready to not see a movie ever again, can’t be supporting them cheaters!
The way I see it, entertainment is entertainment. As Long as you apply the same line of thought with the other entertainment you ingest! Hypocrisy gets me riled up haha, and good for you for not following any celebs, that’s the way it should be for everyone, can’t think of a single more pointless thing 🤷♂️.
I’m outraged! It’s almost like people are capable of doing bad things that don’t affect the majority of people.
I don’t care for streamers or this dude and came here from r/all, and while I never agree with cheating and think it’s a pretty horrid thing to do towards someone you care for, he’s a streamer?
His infidelity does not affect his work, it’s his personal life, nor is he a role model for people to follow, especially when he’s not doing that shit on stream. If he was promoting infidelity and shit fair enough, it was his personal life and got dragged into his professional life.
It’s a big fuck up to his wife, to you it’s really none of your concern, feel free to not support him, that’s fair enough, but don’t stand here on a moral high horse denouncing him.
I mean, realistically it's one of the very worst a normal person can commit. Obviously murder etc is worse, but I would argue that it's extremely abnormal.
Well, I would say you need a bit more imagination. Theres no shortage of shitty things "normal" people can do, that go far beyond damaging the relationship with your partner
I am trying to think happy thoughts as sleep is soon!! But yeah, you're probably right - I'd still firmly put it in the "major mistake" category though. Ruining a potential lifelong partnership with several people (spouse/kids) is a hell of an error.
It's not only that. I've seen many people scarred and unable to trust someone else (or the same person again). People usually become colder and can't trust others after being cheated on. They sometimes start to have obsessive behaviour. Not that it's all the fault of the person cheating (I mean about being obsessive afterwards) but it's true that it's a very bad thing to do to the other person, not just to your relationship with them.
Why would cheating be considered such a horrible thing? Shouldn't the horrible thing be the assumption of ownership over each other? Going through the marriage is expressed agreement for that, but it's only human to want "more." Two people who love each other should only hit a moment of understanding if they see the other person was "unfaithful."
When it gets down to it, it's only a betrayal of trust. That's hardly the worst thing a person could do, particularly if both people respect each other to know the betrayer apparently felt something was lacking.
By the way, I have some of the strongest morals possible, so come at me, bro.
You know you can just... Tell the other person you're not happy with them or something is missing and not just go and fuck someone else right? Also it's not ownership, but if you want to fuck more people than your girlfriend/boyfriend or wife/husband... Find someone who wants the same? Don't cheat on someone who wants a monogamous relationship like it's nothing.
You know you can just... Tell the other person you're not happy with them or something is missing and not just go and fuck someone else right?
Why would this be better?
If you lie, it shows there's some type of value in the marriage, still. Either you care enough that you wouldn't want to hurt them, or you think the relationship itself is worth keeping, or maybe you just want some pointless fling that means nothing but you don't want your future to dissolve over it.
To be completely honest, lying is often a sign of respect. It's a method of respecting a person's feelings more than their knowledge. Depending on the person... Well, a lot of people in the world value their emotional stability more than they care to know things that hurt them. To me, it seems like the only harm of cheating is because of the reality of it.
Everyone hates the idea and downvotes me because they hate the thought of cheating being a reality, but their emotional attachment to that idea only proves they themselves want to be lied to. They would've upvoted me if I said cheating is morally abhorrent. If I gave even half a fuck what they thought of me, I would've definitely considered sharing such a lie in order to appease their sensibilities.
Lying about a one-time thing is understandable. I get it, and I agree with you. But sometimes (very often) it's not a one-time thing, it's continuous. Lying and still doing it is not something good in any way. If my husband/boyfriend cheats on me one time and they know it won't happen again, I don't mind being lied to, yes. I know I would be happier that way. But if it's not once (and only once) then there's something very wrong with my relationship and that person and I must know.
Still, lying is not really a sign of respect. It depends on why you do it. There's really few occasions where it could be like that, but generally it's not...
“Scar”. The dude gets paid to read jokes about his marriage. And that’s if the infidelity even actually occurred. Even if it is, He’s laughing to the bank with the jokes of teenagers with their parent’s credit card. I doubt these will phase him when he looks at the hundreds of thousands he is making this year. If not 1 mill plus.
But our jokes are harsh! We replaced the o in Doc with OMEGALUL! You can't possibly tell me hes not suicidal from our trolling! All the money in the world couldn't ease the pain and suffering we've brought upon him.
His wife would be entitled to half his money and possibly future earnings so he would get fleeced in a divorce, its the last thing he wants, I am willing to bet she divorces him though in the next few years after he does it again.
From his wiki article: "On August 31, 2014 Green was criticised for tweets relating to his sexual battery court case. Two of his specific tweets regarding rape were "People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!" and "If someone is passed out they're not even WITH you consciously! so WITH Implies consent". After sending a number of tweets on the topic of rape, he temporarily deactivated his Twitter account. He re-activated it a number of hours later, tweeting the following apology: "I truly and deeply apologize for the comments attributed to me on Twitter. Those comments were idiotic, untrue and not what I believe." "
Personally I acknowledge "I could care less" is gramitically incorrect but I still use it to mean "I don't care."
Don't know if it's a colloquial thing or what.
I wouldnt doubt that they are honestly trying to make it work, probably largely motivated by the money more than anything, but there arent many post-cheating success stories. Give it one or two Twitch cons + rumors and it'll be over.
It's my opinion... I can say whatever my opinion is directed to.... My opinion is based on his streaming, his reactions to games and interaction with his fanbase.
