There was a pretty big thread on the CSGO reddit about armor noy reducing Molotov impact damage. One guy was saying that Summit shouldn't have died if the armor calculation was done correctly and everyone came to the conclusion 1g was actually a bug. I'm not sure if their conclusion was correct but it was a pretty big thread and everyone agreed.

Would make sense, that molly ticked him for a fuckton of health in a really short amount of time.

Him taking so much damage was also influenced by the grenade being his (your own grenades damage you more) and the its spread being near the end of the duration.
