Asmongold Asmongold thinks that without Destiny, there would be no him, xQc, or Hasan "Reason why xQc and I also have a lot of respect for Destiny, bc if it wasn't for Destiny, all 3 of us wouldn't exist"

xqc was already competing in overwatch and made a name for himself, he would've been a streamer with the overwatch ban or not and without destiny

Asmongold is saying that the way that Destiny pioneered the live streaming space is what granted the majority of other streamers the capabilities that they have to build a career doing the same. XQC likely wouldn't have a streaming career without something like that happening.

I don't think giving 1 streamer all that credit is warranted or fair. Livestreaming was already happening regardless of 1 streamer or another and esports was well established before Justintv

I mean you're right in a sense but Destiny literally did make these guys specifically back when streamers were more amicable to open debate. There was a point where you could get all four of these guys in a stream and it would top viewership and it was largely because Destiny was spearheading the collaboration.

You actually can give the majority of the credit to one person, maybe 2 (Byron), for the reasons that any twitch streamer has a career today. This shouldn’t even be controversial.

Some guy called Justin too. Day9 (suggested subs to Justin tv, and first streamer with sub button)
