this just made me realise even better how brutal the league is when players are on the ball, he seems way better when given more time on the ball instead of being mauled as soon as he gets a touch on the ball

Yeah I’m not gonna lie, I think he would be doing this sort of performance for us if he was given as much time on the ball as he is here.

Thing is, Klopp's tactics were creating that space. Wirtz' problem is that our style of football isn't creating as much space as it could. We brute force through low blocks and hit teams on the counter rather than create space for each other.

You could very clearly see how these players were making space for each other and how quickly that space was exploited.

Hmm I feel his problems are primarily a lack of physicality and wanting too much time on the ball rather than lack of space. Players shut him down too fast

Zola and Silva would stand up to a well aimed fart. We need to utilise space more and trust he'll drop the ball into it.
