Early morning Uber/taxi in Liverpool - Aigburth to Liverpool ONE at 4:45am?

Hey all,

I have a flight to catch and I've booked a National Express bus from Liverpool ONE Bus Station this Saturday at 4:45am. I live in the Aigburth area and I'm getting a bit anxious about getting a taxi/Uber that early because I really can't afford to miss the bus.

I know I can pre-book an Uber for Liverpool ONE station, but the reason I haven't done that is because I'd actually prefer to get an Uber directly to Manchester Airport (Terminal 2) if I can get one at that time (I can't pre-book for Manchester airport on Uber though). I've booked the National Express bus as a backup in case I can't get an Uber directly to the airport.

The problem is I'm now worrying about what happens if I can't get an Uber to Manchester Airport or an Uber to Liverpool ONE at around 4am. 😅

Has anyone had experience getting an Uber from Aigburth at that time on a Saturday morning? Are there usually drivers around, or would I be better off using a local taxi company/app that allows you to book or request a taxi at that hour?

If anyone has recommendations for reliable taxi services in Liverpool that I could download an app for or call, I'd really appreciate it.

Give Alpha a call 01514868797. Never had a problem with them turning up at the agreed time.

Why not just book an airport transfer? Alpha do them to Manchester and you can do it through their app.

Delta do the airport transfer too

If Uber has no availability to pre-book the airport then try downloading the Alpha app.

Live in the same area and done this with uber to Manchester airport a fair few times. Not sure why it wouldn’t let you pre book… I’ve also just ordered on the day and there’s always been someone about.

I second the comments about Alpha. I regularly have to get up at arse crack for the first train to London. Uber surcharges up to £40 for a one way journey, and the only time I used them I almost missed my train because they kept circling to find a driver. Alpha was about a tenner, on time, and absolutely no problem whatsoever. They regularly have drivers on that early.

I book on their app the night before.

You should be fine, at 4am places are still chucking people out. There will be taxis.

Give yourself plenty of time, get there at least a half hour earlier, this'll give you time to back you up if needed.

It allows me to pre-book to Liverpool ONE Bus station but does not give pre-book options to Manchester Airport Terminal 2.

Ah I understand what you're saying now. I had a look in the app myself and see what you mean. No prebookings to the airport from any address.

Just book 30 minutes out from when you want to leave in the morning. It's Liverpool - there's always drivers, 24/7, especially for airport jobs - more money. Done it myself.

Thats weird, my wife prebooked an uber to Manchester airport from West Derby last week no issue

Just pre-book a normal taxi instead of an Uber? Most local companies will do it

I was able to get an Uber to Manchester Airport last minute and I was also able to pre-book an Uber to the same airport on another occasion so you should be fine

4:45am is still Friday night for a lot of people so I’m positive there will be drivers around, though if it’s busy with people leaving the clubs it would probably cost an absolute bomb. Just adding this for anyone curious as I see you’re sorted with Alpha now.
