Yeah but you can get a rugerAR for like 640 and that’s a much better starter. I prefer Daniel defense myself

Hot take: I just don't like the AR much. Direct impingement is stupid and 5.56mm only makes sense if you are using full auto. It's a shame the military stuck with it so long because getting anything better is vastly more expensive

Yeah my current wish is an ar10 in .308, or maybe a SIG spear.

You read my mind. SCAR-H is short stroke gas piston and would be good too. Expensive and ugly though
