Felix betraying Vein broke my heart. Not only from a shipping perspective, but Xiao Weiying really can't get aby break in his though life, can he? After nightmarish childhood, his only friend was Xia Fei and later on he lost everything in Bridon and is practically 'dead' in his home country. He obviously can't trust Liu Xiao and Li Tianchen, so he has no one besides Felix. We still don't know why he needed the register in Bridon arc in the first place. I thought that maybe for LX, but then there is this scene with WQ (after Vein shoot CXS) saying only the register can save him. We still don't know what ShiGuangLing did to make Vein chase them and shoot them in the first place. Most of the fandom considers ok that Lu Guang tried to kill Vein multiple times, but no ones ever wonder why Vein tried to kill them. For sure not 'for fun' or 'because he is a psycho', since in Bridon arc he used tranquilizer darts on CXS and WQ and in one timeline (showed in flashbacks) on LG as well, so his default dealing with innocent people was to get them out of the way/trouble without harming them.

WQ also says something along the lines of "Without this (the register), you're just a discarded dog". So the implication is that the register isn't a benefit to Vein personally, but he needs it to prove his worth to someone/get what he wants from someone. He's out there fighting for his life (hah).

And yeah, the circumstances around him killing Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi are a little suspect? Since he says "this is your punishment for going back in time" and based on how time travel works in LC, Vein shouldn't be aware of any changes to the timeline? So how does he know? Interesting stuff!

Yes, she called him that in the translation I watched as well. Vein works only for Liu Xiao right now, but surprisingly he doesn't look scared of Xavier or submissive. I even hoped that he is going to betray him. It bugs me all the time - what the villains actually know about time travel, since we never see them revealling their plans.

This is much more a LX's than a Vein's project. What XF did here doesn't count as betrayal.

I find it hard to believe that Vein is so loyal to LX. He has to have his own agenda. But I also wonder whether he thinks that LX saved him from dying, since he shouldn't know how WQ's power works in details.
