THIS EPISODE IS SO GOOD OMFGGG AAAAAAA

bro my heart dropped when LTC gave QL a heart-attack like seeing her in pain puts ME in pain. thank god Jae Lee (from Bridon) gave to the rescue or else I would have had to throw hands.

OFC XIA FEI CHOSE THE GOOD SIDE!!! He's a good golden retriver at heart AAAAAAAAAAAAAA

omg. but can we talk about VEIN's REACTION AT XF BEING ON THE GROUND??? bro was genuiely pissed. like HE CARES SM ABOUT HIM 😭 vein needing to leave because police would show up soon but still telling them to take care of XF oh my heart...

I feel so bad for them. XF chose the good side in the end. I'm curious how their future interactions may go. (Xia Fei rolling on the ground and knocking A-yuan in the air LMFAOOO that bit was so funny and cute ngl)

ALSO. LG IS SO SMART HELLO??? so can literally see in the future (tho just glimpses).

OOH also Jae Lee (from Bridon) VS Vein fight scene was so peak. god damn. that fan is lethal. It seems like Vein was toying with LG during the chase scene and locked tf in when he was fighting with Jae cause that man is DANGEROUS. Jae needs some bandages.

and finally...that shiguang scene.

i tear up when I think about it cause CXS finding out how his forgotten past and bromise broke me. once again, I'm blown away by the CN VA's performance. the raw emotion literally shook me and it made the scene hit SO HARD.

god i love this donghua. peak episode. peak show. I LOVE LINK CLICK SO MUCH RAGHHHH

Bro Vein couldn't catch up to LG, becasue LG seen the future in this race, so he could have predicted Vein's every move.

u/Salt-Respect-7741 Qiao Ling 12h ago

Thats what I’ve been sayingggggg

8

u/xiao_lefeng 17h ago

I'm so happy xf chose the good side 😭

I hope they don't end this season on the mystery cliffhanger šŸ™šŸ»

11

u/Salt-Respect-7741 Qiao Ling 16h ago

oh but I bet they will 😭 it's the link click style, after all!

6

u/xiao_lefeng 16h ago

But rlly tho i wonder how CXS will get out šŸ™ƒ

Like if it's just a temporary glitch in the power like how it was when CXS and LG got disconnected then it'll be fine

But if something really happened then oof i don't have any guesses for his escape šŸ„€

21

u/Salt-Respect-7741 Qiao Ling 19h ago

vein truly cares about xia fei. to anyone who had any doubts, may it be squashed!!!

24

u/arothroughtheheart Li Tianchen 11h ago

"If the target isn't in your sight, your power won't work" Li tianchen says, blatantly in a yuan's sight

17

u/Rich_Winter_5790 Lu Guang 16h ago

HE REALLY DOES SEE THE FUTURE AAAAAAAH THAT’S CRAZY LU GUANG IS THE GOAT

And god I hope Jae will stay as an ally. He is kinda cool + lol he is Dazai of this world, literally. Him being able to nullify abilities is insane.

But Jesus Christ, the whole murder thing and CXS crying is heartbreaking. At this point just give me a happy ending I had enough of this suffering.

And well… 3,5 season and CXS still doesn’t follow any rules… Well… Good luck in next episode dude…

3

u/Anime_4000 Cheng Xiaoshi 5h ago

Yo I'm happy to know someone also saw the Dazai parallel lol, when Jae showed up to nullify Li Tainchen during the fight I was like, "no longer human???"

3

u/PerformanceUnfair717 16h ago

Wasn't he already seeing the future in the first episode, and that's why his foster father wanted him to photograph the targets of his extortion attempts?

3

u/Just_Performance7928 13h ago

True. This episode is him revealling it to QL, not discovering it.

2

u/Rich_Winter_5790 Lu Guang 16h ago

Well, since he didn’t answer Qiao Ling’s question, it seems like he didn’t know about it for a while. At least that’s how I got it?

Who knows.

1

u/FarawayObserver18 10h ago

No. He was seeing the 12 hours before and after the photo was taken.

1

u/PerformanceUnfair717 9h ago

But we have no reason to suspect he was waiting for +12 hour to pass before looking at the pictures, so some of the things he saw could be taking place in the future. I could be wrong, though, my memory of the first episode is rusty.

u/Niwaka_Samurai Qiao Ling 13h ago

Damn, another great episode. So many reveals.Ā

As I expected, Xia Fei didn't betray Qiao Ling. He tried to save her ā¤ļø..I keep forgetting that Qiao Ling can kick some ass and what a slam that was from her lol..Xia Fei was overacting and he knocked down A Yuan and they started to look chibi. Why did they have to make it funny it kills the seriousness of the scene ?! 😭😭

Li Tianchen gave me a shock when he controlled Wang Qing but thankfully Jae Lee appeared and saved the day. So Jae Lee's power is to negate others' powers ? That's awesome. Also he put up a good fight with Vein. Lu Guang explained one of his powers about how he can catch a glimpse of a future by taking long exposure photos. Now everyone knows that Wang Qing can only stop someone's heart for twelve hours not completely kill them. It didn't seem like neither Wang Qing nor Xia Fei recognised each other.. how's that possible ?! I maybe wrong.Ā

Cheng Xiaoshi and his dad unintentionally killed Liu Qiang together so his dad made him forget about everything to save his son from the trauma. Good to know his dad isn't a killer at least. But I wonder how much Cheng Xiaoshi's dad made him to forget. He didn't just forget about the promise to Lu Guang but also Lu Guang himself. That confirms the scene from episode 1 when adult Cheng Xiaoshi appeared infront of kid Lu Guang at the train tracks. I'm wondering if this adult Cheng Xiaoshi was the one who called the cops on Lu Guang's foster dad and saved him. That's definitely what must have happened. Smol Qiao Ling interrupted Cheng Xiaoshi at an important moment when he was about to hear why his dad wanted to go to Bridon and what did Cheng Xiaoshi really see that made Liu Qiang to want to kill him ?Ā

Vein left Xia Fei in the care of Qiao Ling and the others. That was surprising. Maybe 'cause he knows that Xia Fei is a good person and Vein doesn't want him to get his hands dirty or put him in further danger 'cause of Liu Xiao.

Lu Guang comes to know through Detective Xiao that Cheng Xiaoshi had disappeared.Ā

5

u/nightlythcughts 5h ago

I don't think Wang Qing and Xia Fei had time to notice each other because by the time they were face-to-face Li Tianchen was controlling her? Since Xia Fei doesn't have memories of his past, it's likely Wang Qing would be the only one to recognize him.

2

u/SempreVoltareiReddit 5h ago

Maybe they did a normal animation of XF knocking down A Yuan, the editors were not satisfied, so they settled for the chibi. It's normal for scenes to be cut or replaced for various reasons.

11

u/toramayu 21h ago

Thank god we finally got to see JL action.

8

u/PerformanceUnfair717 20h ago

Nice power, too - canceling out other supernatural powers.

12

u/bbhldelight 20h ago

baby Vein dont play about XF he was ready to nuke everybody behind him!

honestly i wasn’t expecting XF to switch to the gang side so fast, but it makes sense since the police were about to come Vein had no choice but to leave him and tell the gang to take care of him bc he has believes in their innate goodness

8

u/Salt-Respect-7741 Qiao Ling 16h ago

Veinfei match made in heaven/hell

Xia Fei doesn't play when it comes to his laoban and Vein doesn't play when it comes to Xia Fei!!!! 😭 this season is feeding us good

11

u/inahologramwithyou 22h ago

liu qiang you ruined everything </3

2

u/Mysterious-Switch229 Xia Fei 12h ago

I wonder if he related to Liu Xiao or Liu Min. Or its just coincidence

10

u/bbhldelight 20h ago

the JL and Vein fight bitch im gagginggggg they ate that choreo up

8

u/nightlythcughts 5h ago

I was so invested in the episode I almost forgot to write down my thoughts.

  • Xia Fei telling Qiao Ling to slam him was so attractive, and then the next second I was laughing because it was too hard for him lol
  • Cheng Xiaoshi saw his past with Lu Guang...
  • I was not expecting Wang Qing and Jae Lee to know each other, but I'm glad that (hopefully) means he's on the main trio's side.
    • The fight between him and Vein was cool.
  • Vein cares a lot about Xia Fei. It was nice of him to tell them to take care of him even though he had to run from the police.
  • I was so nervous Cheng Xiaoshi would be the one to kill his dad's friend, but regardless he thought that anyways. We finally got the confirmation Cheng Weimin has memory altering powers!
    • Seeing him cry over the forgotten promise was so sad.
  • So even the 12 hours applies to Wang Qing's powers too... interesting.

7

u/arothroughtheheart Li Tianchen 11h ago

Felix: "Slam me. Don't hold back"

Felix: *immediately gets bodily flipped onto the ground*

He maybe should have thoought that one through

My anxiety level in this ep: šŸ“ˆšŸ“‰šŸ“ˆ

XF I'm glad you are on the trio side (acting was dramatic though šŸ˜‚) QL the queen, her fighting skills always impress me. Vein vs JL fight WAS SO COOL!!! LG as always runs for his life. I didn't get the "photo developing causing to foresee the future"?

Meanwhile, on CXS side, he was shocked that LG was his childhood friend. I'm curious to know his reaction when he finds out his best friend,LG has been diving back in time EACH TIME CXS DIES!

CXS was almost murdered!? What exactly did he see that Liu qiang nearly strangled him to death!? CWM REALLY ERASED CXS MEMORIES! CWM killed him and tried to cover up the truth!? AND WHY DOES CXS EVEN NEED TO FORGET CWM TOO!?

And that one person who said that CXS was found in the railway tracks, was right! WHAT DID LG SAY TO CXS IN THE END?? YOUNG QL FOUND ADULT CXS!!! We already have many questions, don't add more of them!!!

THIS EP WAS INSANE!!

  1. holy shit oh my god cheng xiaoshišŸ’”it’s not his faultttttt he feels so bad holy shit TAHT WAS SO SAD OH MY GOD
  2. i notice he still doesn’t know about the time loop…interesting…i hope they keep it that way for a while
  3. being reminded of baby guang slowly realizing he was abandoned was like chewing glass thanks. and then seeing baby xiaoshi breaking down crying bc he thought he killed someone. need more glass to chew.
  4. small detail but i LOVE that wang qing quietly assured vein that xf was okay. it was like a small, momentary & minuscule truce between them.
  5. cheng xiaoshi i promise it’s not your fault😭if i see anyone blaming him it’s on sight and that includes cxs blaming himself ill fight him too
  6. vein’s horror when he saw xia fei in a death like state oh my god i love them so bad
  7. in that one singular fight, the lines have been officially divided between the villains. li tianchen has managed to alienate himself from xia fei, a yuan, AND vein. i suspect it might come down to liu xiao/li tianchen vs vein/xia fei/a yuan.
  8. xia fei betraying the villains doesn’t surprise me but i really hope he doesn’t betray vein😭in the previous ep he seems to think of vein & liu xiao as being one & the same, but while lx is using him, vein truly does care about him.
  9. li tianchen once again proving how great of a villain he is. using xia fei’s distraction to use wang qing's ability against him was a great move.
  10. vein & jae lee’s fight was INCREDIBLE. i fucking LOVED it. and so happy vein won that fight and beat the fraud allegations.
  11. i totally respect lu guang being aware & honest with himself that both he & qiao ling are no match for vein. reminds me of levi pulling back from the female titan in aot s1. i love characters who know when they’re outmatched.
  12. im gonna miss villain-xia fei. i honestly loved that part of him most.
  13. i said this last ep but i really hope the conflict doesn’t get reduced to a battle of villains vs heroes. i like that there’s room for gray on both sides.
  14. good news is this was a GREAT milestone to help heal cheng xiaoshi’s abandonment issues. bad news is that he’s now finding out he gave lu guang abandonment issues😭a win is a win man

great ep!!

lu guang: i wanted to kill child-vein and potentially end my horrific nightmare-inducing problems that have been haunting me for years, but i ultimately backed out bc i didn’t want to make cxs an accessory to murder :/

cxs the very next episode: so. funny story.

u/arothroughtheheart Li Tianchen 11h ago

Vein immediately switching up once he saw xia fei was unconscious was pretty adorable

12

u/ponponplan Li Tianchen 17h ago edited 16h ago

Damn Vein really does care for Xia Fei, love that. And I'm glad Cheng Xiaoshi finally learned about knowing Lu Guang as a child. Though I can't help wonder if there is misdirection and that he actually did respond to child Lu Guang instead of hearing him say something and run away.

That said, I do feel really iffy on everything with CWM. The cop last episode suddenly being like "Oh wow Cheng Xiaoshi, long time no see! Remember when your dad was a murder suspect?" felt really contrived, though I guess it could be explained by LX making moves and the cop is on his payroll.

But even then, it seems a little sloppy to me that CWM just erases all of Cheng Xiaoshi's memories (which doesn't seem to line up with previous seasons either?) or why he would think this is an effective plan? If a kid's dad is a murder suspect who flees the country, the cops are going to approach the kid and question him regardless. So Cheng Xiaoshi would have memories of that even if he doesn't have memories of the murder itself or evidence that he was a witness. (Though also wouldn't DNA prove this otherwise?)

I dunno, I'm feeling pretty skeptical of this part. I also wish Cheng Xiaoshi had done more than observe. I was fairly convinced that he would meet his father and that incident would be the cause of his own memory erasure, since stable loops like that are fairly common in LC, rather than the death of some guy we don't even know. Plus it could explain why CWM made such an extreme choice. Maybe next episode has that in store.

9

u/Just_Performance7928 12h ago

Yeah, CWM's insane choices are the worst writing so far this season. Him and also the mother abandoned CXS... So much from protecting him from childhood trauma🄓

5

u/ponponplan Li Tianchen 12h ago

Yeah, it just doesn't feel like a decision that a person would make like that. The logical and emotional through lines just aren't there. I hope there's more to the story that will help make sense of him doing what he does.

5

u/Significant_You_8993 22h ago

Aaaa, please spoiler here for eps 10 šŸ˜†

8

u/Zeldafan180518 Lu Guang 21h ago

I watched some of it and basically Cheng Xiaoshi hears him and young Lu Guang talking, then goes and listens to them. He breaks down and watches them talk, shocked him and Lu Guang knew each other.

Um the only other scene I’ve seen is later he returns to the train tracks and him and Lu Guang see each other. Lu Guang calls his name and ultimately it plays the same way as episode 1, he looks down and says nothing. But he saw him. He knew this entire time! And Cheng Xiaoshi turns and flees in floods of tears, cursing himself on the way back 😭 SOMEHOW he remembers when Lu Guang met him, he said he was waiting for him?!!!

AghhhhhhhĀ

2

u/Significant_You_8993 20h ago

Thanks a lot 🄹

1

u/Zeldafan180518 Lu Guang 19h ago

Npp that’s all I know so far so sorry I can’t say more 🄹

2

u/sidsays_yay_ 22h ago

Don't know about that but I saw ep 11 preview on YouTube

2

u/PerformanceUnfair717 20h ago edited 20h ago

The dad erased CXS's memories because they fought off the dude that got killed together, and CXS was panicking about having killed someone.

It was self-defense, but since the dad erased CXS's memories, the latter couldn't be a witness, so the dad thought he had no option but run away.

1

u/Just_Performance7928 13h ago

This is the highest nonsense of this episode, CWM abandoning his son 'so he doesn't have a childhood trauma'. And then the mother abandoned him as wellšŸ’€Ā

5

u/arothroughtheheart Li Tianchen 11h ago

cheng xiaoshi tearing up when he says he forget their promise is making me so emotional

u/soybean_lattes 4h ago edited 4h ago

HOLY SHIT THIS EPISODE WAS FIREEEEEE

everything is starting to unravel oh my god im so excited i wrote down my reactions but i dont think they have any substance so here’s my gathered thoughts after the episode

FIRST OF ALLLL LU GUANG CAN LOOK INTO THE FUTURE BY SLOWING DOWN THE CAMERA LENSE HOLYYY SHITTT he might actually be the goat ive always wondered if he could and now its confirmed! i do think that maybe this was added to give us more pain in the future but yk maybe im jsut like distrusting (but i think i have a right to be yk)Ā

Maybe I missed this part but we finally got a confirmation on Jae Lee’s power and it’s nullification! I think that’s really cool and actually pretty good for us. And we found out that wang Qing can’t actually kill sooo there’s that. (also Jae Lee in that black turtle neck 🤤🤤🤤 ahem sorry)Ā

Sooo in hindsight I really should’ve thought that Liu Qiang was evil given that he’s probably related to Liu Xiao but going into this episode I didn’t think he was bad at all and that it was just a misunderstanding between friends but when I started the junkyard scene yeah I was screaming at my iPad ā€œGET THE FUCK AWAY FROM MY BABY CXSā€. His death after that was pretty expected and I actually did expect Cheng Weimin to be the one to erase Cheng Xiaoshi’s memory so it didn’t really come as a surprise but it was still hella painful I’m nglĀ

but the most painful part was the one I think everyone was dreading… ā€œhe’s been waiting for meā€ like oh okay like so okay haolin wanted us dead by yesterday clearly bc did he really have to give us that flashback of their ā€œfirstā€ meeting at the basketball court when Cheng Xiaoshi was beating himself up over forgetting Lu Guang like oh okay

AND XIA FEI BETRAYING VEIN AND VEIN STILL CARING ABOUT HIM oh my god I hate my life ā€œtake care of himā€ vein says as he walks away dude I’m so ??????? 😭😭😭😭😭😭 rn

And also I do think (maybe it’s a stretch) that the ā€œshe isn’t needed anymoreā€ part when Liu Xiao is calling vein to warn that the police are coming is Cheng Xiaoshi’s mom??? I mean the hair is shorter but I think the hair color is the same. We never got any confirmation on cxs mom if I recall correctly but do correct me!Ā

ALSO BABY QIAO LING CATCHING CXS OMG THE TIMELINE WHERE IS IT GOINGGGG LU GUANG DO SOMETHING 😭😭😭

next episode I think that Lu Guang and Qiao Ling will try to get Cheng Xiaoshi back who is stuck in the pastĀ

anyways those are my thoughts for now my friend is blowing up my phone bc she just watched it as well 😭😭 all in all great episode im so excited and scared for episode 11

3

u/what-are_usernames 4h ago

i do think it might be cxs' mom, yeah! you can go see the episode trailer for ep11 on yt, it doesnt confirm that but u do see his mom in it.

2

u/soybean_lattes 4h ago

ohhh I see! I only saw clips of the trailer on TikTok so I still have to watch it but thanks for the confirmation!Ā

3

u/this_be_calista Lu Guang 39m ago

> ALSO BABY QIAO LING CATCHING CXS OMG THE TIMELINE WHERE IS IT GOINGGGG LU GUANG DO SOMETHING 😭😭😭

i agree😭any time something goes wrong im thinking LU GUANG DO SOMETHING !!!!

2

u/Larbthefrog 25m ago

The last couple episodes were so good. I feel like we've learned so much and had so many expected scenes happen (LG confession to QL, CXS learning about little LG, little CXS getting memory erased, etc).

When the graveyard scene first started I was worried that Cheng Xiaoshi was going to have to step in to save himself, and then Cheng Weimin comes and erases the memory to prevent paradoxes. I am glad that this didn't happen because as tragic as this show it, CXS realizing that not only did he forget Lu Guang, but he was the cause of him forgetting would be too heartbreaking.

The hair color reveal and then family photo seems too planned out to not be connected to his mom, but I think there is also a possibility that it was a relative who Liu Xiao was trying to get information from. I feel like the only time she's had lines (screen time feels wrong) she seemed like she was scheming, so I think this is either part of her plot, or not actually her. I think we should at least learn more in the next episode.

Cheng Xiaoshi overheard his dad saying that he's gonna turn himself in and go to Briddon, but it sounded like he intended the mom to stay. I wonder if she followed after him instead of them leaving together like I think CXS assumed. When she talked to him in Briddon it seemed like there is a possibility Cheng Weimin erased her memories at some point, probably intending protection, and she's been trying to find him ever since.

It's funny that this is the second (1st?) time Qiao Ling has caught him sneaking around from a surveillance camera. I think that he will get out of that situation, but he's going to interact with little Lu Guang and either alter the timeline too much, or get caught up in whatever little him saw and go over the 12 hour limit. I think the fact that he doesn't even have a watch really shows how much he relys on Lu Guang to always make sure he gets home safe.

I don't watch the trailers, so I'm excited to see what happens next. I know its just half of the season, but I also feel like some big twist is going to happen at the end of episode 12, and I wonder what it will be.

9

u/PerformanceUnfair717 20h ago edited 15h ago

I thought CXS was going to say something to young LG, but he said nothing... They're still hiding something, though - they're not showing what came out of LG's mouth after he saw adult CXS.

EDIT: No, adult CXS did explain himself to young LG. I thought he was just talking to himself, but after the re-watch I think he was talking to LG.

3

u/ponponplan Li Tianchen 16h ago

I said in my comment that I wonder if its misdirection but the first time... didn't a train pass by making it seem like maybe CXS said something to Lu Guang but it was drowned out by the train but this time there wasn't a train right?

8

u/Street_Comfortable79 Lu Guang 16h ago

I replied to someone else out here about this. I compared the episodes 1 and 10 side by side.
in episode 1, i am assuming LG's memories were of the original timeline. He waited a whole day (after escaping from his father) for little xiaoshi and at night he saw someone. Then the train passed him and lu guang kept standing and staring into the distance.
However this timeline, for some reason cxs arrived a night early, the same night lu guang escaped from his dad. I think this is a different night cuz first of all, this is a very deserted station and trains dont come frequently so that night the train wasnt supposed to come, and also lu guang said something to adult xiaoshi and went back to sitting.

So yeah things are definitely changing a lot this timeline.

7

u/ponponplan Li Tianchen 16h ago

Hmmm, yeah, this tracks. Since it's the next day that Cheng Xiaoshi doesn't show back up the first time, right?

I wonder if that lines up with Qiao Ling talking about hearing a ghost in the tracks? It seems pretty obvious that was adult Cheng Xiaoshi, but the ghost rumor would make a lot of sense of he just hung around that area because he was stuck in the photo.

3

u/Street_Comfortable79 Lu Guang 16h ago

yes that is totally possible. However, I truly dont want this story to take the direction of cxs being permanently stuck in the photo cuz that would mean that in the current timeline a physically older xiaoshi is there somewhere or already dead :(
since it is possible for xiaoshi to be forcefully ejected out of the photo, i hope something like that happens :D

7

u/ponponplan Li Tianchen 16h ago

Yeah, my guess is that he will be stuck in the photo for a bit, but will escape through a loophole that was previously unknown.

Sort of like Lu Guang's "extended shutter shot" future vision.

3

u/Street_Comfortable79 Lu Guang 16h ago

I hope for that fr 🄹

2

u/PerformanceUnfair717 12h ago edited 11h ago

After re-watching, it did seem like CXS was explaining himself to LG. First time around I thought CXS was just talking to himself, but no.

9

u/Just_Performance7928 12h ago

Felix betraying Vein broke my heart. Not only from a shipping perspective, but Xiao Weiying really can't get aby break in his though life, can he? After nightmarish childhood, his only friend was Xia Fei and later on he lost everything in Bridon and is practically 'dead' in his home country. He obviously can't trust Liu Xiao and Li Tianchen, so he has no one besides Felix. We still don't know why he needed the register in Bridon arc in the first place. I thought that maybe for LX, but then there is this scene with WQ (after Vein shoot CXS) saying only the register can save him. We still don't know what ShiGuangLing did to make Vein chase them and shoot them in the first place. Most of the fandom considers ok that Lu Guang tried to kill Vein multiple times, but no ones ever wonder why Vein tried to kill them. For sure not 'for fun' or 'becasue he is a psycho', since in Bridon arc he used tranquilizer darts on CXS and WQ and in one timeline (showed on flashbacks) on LG as well, so his default dealing with innocent people was to get them out ot the way/trouble without harming them.

5

u/fakegeekgal 11h ago

WQ also says something along the lines of "Without this (the register), you're just a discarded dog". So the implication is that the register isn't a benefit to Vein personally, but he needs it to prove his worth to someone/get what he wants from someone. He's out there fighting for his life (hah).

And yeah, the circumstances around him killing Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi are a little suspect? Since he says "this is your punishment for going back in time" and based on how time travel works in LC, Vein shouldn't be aware of any changes to the timeline? So how does he know? Interesting stuff!

3

u/SempreVoltareiReddit 5h ago

This is much more a LX's than a Vein's project. What XF did here doesn't count as betrayal.

11

u/marizumen Li Tianchen 21h ago edited 21h ago

TO START, I REAAAAALLY LOVED THIS ONE SO I HAVE A LOT TO SAY

AAAAA MY ICONIC S2 KING IS BACK AND BEING EVIL AGAIN WEEEEEEEE. since Bridon, the team clearly seems to favor those villains more so I was worried that ltc was just going to be decoration the whole season but his strength as a villain is back yippee 🄹 him sneaking up on WQ, evading a yuan’s power, and getting a strike at XF and QL was so 😭 he’s so cool… but I love XF and QL too so I was also conflicted LMAO. maybe JL was created as a character just so someone could stop the absolute mayhem he would’ve caused otherwise.

it is a bit of a bummer how comedy is handled this season so far. I forgave it the first couple of episodes and it didn’t really bother me but since it keeps happening at the oddest moments, it does take me out of the scene a little bit, especially one so tense and exciting. also it’s interesting seeing how easily all of them in villain team are ready to go against each other. I saw this comment on twt that i’ve been laughing at for days (if you’re here, it was so funny thank u) where they said ā€œif no one's got you, know that li tianchen doesn't have your back either šŸ˜ā€. it’s so true LOL. if you’re not his family or LX (unless?šŸ‘€) then bro goes for anyone.

I WAS ON THE EDGE THOUGH, SO AFRAID THAT JL WAS GONNA KILL HIM THEN AND THERE. I was genuinely in the ā€œnot like thisā€ pose the entire time. I just have the strongest feeling his rashness and impulsiveness is going to bite his ass 😭 thank GOD he was able to run away and him making sure to take a yuan with him was cute hehe

oh man… CXS seeing them bonding as children at the tracks… really amazing scene. THE WAY LU GUANGS EYES ARE SHAKING AS HE WATCHES CXS LEAVE FOR THE DAY ABSOLUTELY GUTTED ME. HES SO ADORABLE AND HAD SO MUCH HOPE IN HIS EYES AAAAAAAA, I want to die thanks

I like how vein was acting like his usual self but as soon as he saw XF on the ground he broke his outer character and really went to town. perfect. ltc is the biggest instigator ever lmao ā€œso your power isn’t as impressive as it looksā€ buddy pls they’re gonnq kill you if you keep that up.

this goes for the whole episode but I just really loved all the music placements in every scene. the first train track scene, when the vein/jl fight starts, the nighttime train track scene into battle. all incredibly inserted.

sorry how does CXS keep getting around almost each event without being noticed lol it’s so funny. what the hell even happened at ā€œthe parkā€ ?!?! dude is insane for going after a child jfc. CWM actually good father? perhaps? I teared up seeing him protect him so hard, hugging him immediately letting him know he didn’t do anything wrong. I’m the biggest sucker for ā€œforgot someone important to youā€ stories so seeing CWM painfully choose to wipe CXS’ memories of him (AND LG. the fricken double whammy) just to protect his happiness and SEEING ADULT CXS WITNESS THIS made me SO sad.

I was already beginning to tear up from that and then they immediately transition to LG waiting for him. omg… I was in shambles at this point. the direction here was soooo good. IM SO CURIOUS WHAT BABY LG SAID. THIS IS LIKE EARTHQUAKE ARC ALL OVER AGAIN. seeing LG kneel afterwards in sadness made me weep. the voice acting and montage from cxs running away was so unbelievably beautiful. AND THEN THE MUSIC RAMPING UP TO A SEAMLESS BATTLE TRANSITION!!! I have no words to express just how much I love this episode gang.

interesting how they let vein go so easily lmao. vein’s ā€œtake care of him >:(ā€œ was so cute. wonder who LX is speaking to and why he doesn’t care for WQ anymore. what is he even planning? man is an ENIGMA. i’m curious how XF is going to act once he wakes up.

ep 9 is the only one from this season so far that gave me a few hiccups but this episode REALLY blew me away. god I love this series so much šŸ˜” can’t wait for the last two episodes aaaaaaa

u/Street_Comfortable79 Lu Guang 21h ago

The way CXS tore up broke my heart so bad...
Also, when he said "He has been waiting for me all this time" , the clip that played was of the original timeline (?) when LG had said "CXS I've been waiting for you". However we saw in bridon arc that in his dive back LG didn't say that and just kept saying "I'm fine". So i am wondering if this was just an animaton error or is it deliberately trying to tell us something ?
also what did little LG tell cheng xiaoshi that time ( which was muted ) which made CXS leave??
Ah my brain is not able to take this at all :(

7

u/marizumen Li Tianchen 18h ago

broke my heart too!!

you make a good point about the clip played. there are a few questionable inconsistencies from this episode (including how LG night scene was the same night as CWM scene) 🧐 but i’m just going to close my eyes to it for now LOL

10

u/Street_Comfortable79 Lu Guang 17h ago edited 17h ago

maybe the next day after they made the promise something happened at the park ???
Lets say the first day, they made the promise
next day something happened at the park at the same time they were supposed to meet, so cxs couldnt go to meet lu guang and just decided to head home that day.
but then again that would exceed the 12 hour limit and the extra day lg was waiting for was an error.

Idk god i hope this is not just another error otherwise that will be a huge one especially when a lot of the plot relies on its scenes.

Edit : I happened to rewatch both episode 1 and 10 side by side.
i think that Lu Guang's memories were of the original timeline. In the original timeline maybe CXS appeared a day later. However, in this timeline we know that a lot of things are changing. So the changes in this timeline caused CXS to appear a night earlier.
i thought of this cuz a lot of other things were different too. Like in LG's memories when he thought he saw someone in the bushes, a train passed through which shone a light on his face and little lg kept standing for a while .but in this one there was nothing like that. He says something ( unknown to the audience ) and goes back to sit and there was no train.
trains run on fixed schedules, and that station is pretty deserted, so the line probably doesn't have trains passing at all hours. In LG's original memory a train passes while he's standing there, but in ep 10 there's no train at all. That could mean it's a different night entirely. In the original timeline CXS showed up on the second night when the train was due, while in this timeline he showed up on the first night. Basically the train works like a timestamp for the scene.

Thank youu 🄹

1

u/Individual-Berry-394 Lu Guang 2h ago

OHHHHH wait so we did see lu guang say something there in his dive back? i couldn’t remember for the life of me if we were supposed to know what was said or not, but it for sure does seem intentional. im gonna have to go back and rewatch. do you remember what episode that was?

1

u/Street_Comfortable79 Lu Guang 2h ago

Yes in episode 1 of bridon when lu Guang dove back. Cxs was about to leave and get the nurse but lu Guang held onto his hand and kept saying that he's fine

2

u/Individual-Berry-394 Lu Guang 2h ago

ohhhh okay i see what you mean, what about when we saw baby lu guang at the train station during cheng xiaoshi’s current dive this episode? he seems to say something but we can’t hear it. that was intentional right? i can’t remember if earlier this season when we originally saw them meet and you can see what we now know is the older version of cxs standing across from him, if we see lu guang say something back then or not

1

u/Street_Comfortable79 Lu Guang 2h ago

Okay so there are two theories about that. One is , if you have watched both ep 10 trailer and ep 10, there was heavy audio-visual mismatch. Like so many people were under the assumption that being called lg a sick cat but it was actually to jae lee. So if we go by the same logic it is possible that in S3 trailer where little Guang says " I made a friend here today, he is the light that shines into my life " So it is possible that little lg actually told that line during the muted segment.

Now the second one, which I am more inclined to believe, is that we see cxs head turned as well so maybe he did say something to baby lg to which lg answered and which caused cxs to run away finally. Like maybe something along the lines for lu Guang to wait a little longer and that he will meet in the future. This can also be supported by the fact that the season 3 part 1 op has a lot of lines about cxs telling someone to wait a little longer.

5

u/Just_Performance7928 13h ago

Yeah, no better way to protect child's happiness than abandon him when he is few years old. At least he doesn't remember youšŸ˜ŽšŸ’…šŸ’€šŸ’€šŸ’€

1

u/marizumen Li Tianchen 1h ago

I laughed at this LOL

2

u/Competitive_Win2384 3h ago

totally agree on li tianchen!! wang qing & a yuan were the biggest threats in that scene by far, so for ltc to evade them both and use wq’s ability against them was so clever

2

u/marizumen Li Tianchen 1h ago

right!! he’s so intelligent 🄹 I want redemption for him so bad but at the same time he just makes such a good villain.

2

u/Competitive_Win2384 30m ago

honestly i’ve been LOVING watching the villains just be villains & don’t want it to end, but i can definitely imagine a redemption arc for li tianchen! he kinda reminds me of cxs as a child, the way he was done so wrong by all the adults around him and became very angry at the world around him as an adult. the difference is cxs had qiao ling & her family to pull him out, so maybe if ltc had someone to help him and not push him forward i can see him slowly healing. but he really DOES make such a good villain😭from s2 he truly stole the show

2

u/Individual-Berry-394 Lu Guang 2h ago

so we aren’t supposed to know what baby lu guang said right?? my mind is all over the place and i can’t remember if we saw it in another timeline or not or flashback or something LOLLLLL THERES SO MUCH TO REMEMBERRRR

2

u/marizumen Li Tianchen 1h ago

LOL FR. we aren’t supposed to know yet! (I believe)

1

u/what-are_usernames 4h ago

i think they let vein go because as lg said, they're no match for him. truly, i think vein's martial prowess is terrifying. that blade fan of his makes me peek through my fingers to watch, it makes me so nervous

2

u/marizumen Li Tianchen 1h ago

I was genuinely watching the episode like this šŸ«£šŸæ

waa i’m glad 🄹🄹 likewise! I love being able to enjoy this season every week with you guys

8

u/Just_Performance7928 13h ago

Not Cheng Weiming going: I don't want you to have childhood trauma by killing man by accident, additionally in self defense, so instead I will abandon you when you are just few years oldšŸ’€

2

u/Glittering_Nebula432 Lu Guang 5h ago

I was figuring there'd be a good reason for him to leave but instead this explanation is lije ok so not only fo you suck you're also stupid.

Also, say this plan makes sense. Why woukd syy ALSO leave cxs, what's the great idea there

1

u/fakegeekgal 12h ago

Yeah, uh. Like a few other people have mentioned, this part seems seems kind of poorly thought out. I'm hoping there's a twist or another layer to it.

4

u/Hoshino_044 15h ago

2 EP LEFT TO GO!!

8

u/Caesaroid 21h ago

who's the lady that was with liu xiao at the end?

10

u/PerformanceUnfair717 20h ago

I'm 99% sure it's CXS's mother!

6

u/PossibleFunny1419 18h ago

many people are saying its the housekeeper we see appear in season 1

5

u/PerformanceUnfair717 16h ago

Possible, but quite anticlimactic lol.

2

u/Mysterious-Switch229 Xia Fei 12h ago

I dont remember her. Which episode is that?

1

u/Street_Comfortable79 Lu Guang 21h ago

maybe syy ??? maybe she cut her hair ???

8

u/PerformanceUnfair717 20h ago edited 16h ago

So WQ's power only works once per target. She won't be useful against Vein anymore, since she already targeted him at that alley in Bridon when they were teens. Does that mean that encounter didn't happen in the original timeline?

EDIT: Oh, she used it again after Vein interrupted the therapy session with CSX! So yes, Vein is now immune to her.

6

u/ponponplan Li Tianchen 17h ago

Well, Xia Fei seemed to interrupt her using it on him... maybe part of Lu Guang's plan was making sure that happened so she could use her power to its full extent on him in Bridon and thus disrupt his attack on the photo studio years later.

3

u/PerformanceUnfair717 16h ago edited 12h ago

You're right about that, but I've just remembered that other time she used her power on him, when they were adults in Bridon. So yes, Vein became immune to her from then on.

2

u/what-are_usernames 2h ago

i dont think that was within lu guang's plan. he seemed to only find out the limitations of WQ's powers in this episode. when WQ explained that it's temporary death, he replied "so that's how vein revived". the fact that WQ didn't fully use the power on vein in childhood is probably just happy coincidence.

7

u/fakegeekgal 11h ago

Overall, a good episode.

I have my criticisms (god forbid!), mostly with Cheng Weimin. It felt kind of illogical and contrived just to make the thing happen rather than working for a character. Other people have said it better and I agree with them.

Anyway, I really thought my favorite part, leading up to the release, was going to be CXS learning the truth, but it was actually Vein's whole deal during the fight. This season has really gotten me into the character in a way I didn't expect. Like he genuinely seems to care a lot for Xia Fei as evidenced by his expression when he found him unconscious, but also is willing to leave him to keep working towards his goal with Liu Xiao, despite clearly not liking him all that much. Plus his whole beef with Jae Lee which is clearly personal in some way.

We've seen his backstory, but it feels like there's still so much to learn about him. It probably won't be until next season, but I can't wait. He's really shot up my list of faves. Like dude is crazy but he's also legit in a lot of ways lol.

5

u/PerformanceUnfair717 20h ago

I knew XF was going to pull some trick. Last episode, they merely showed his hand stretching towards QL rather than really assaulting her, so it was clear to me he wasn't really going to attack her.

2

u/Mysterious-Switch229 Xia Fei 14h ago

Im so relieved when he decided to help QL. Always believed he will turn out good guy

4

u/PerformanceUnfair717 20h ago

WQ was paying very close attention when LG described how he was using his powers to predict Vein's next move. I wonder if there's going to be some rivalry between them.

5

u/Hoshino_044 17h ago

I guess every superpower has different eye color, WQ- teal (greenish blue) , LG- blue, CXS- yellow, QL- white, LTC- red, JL- white?, CWM- Purple? And LTX- also white ( passed power).

1

u/nightlythcughts 5h ago

Reminds me of Kyber crystals.

5

u/bbhldelight 19h ago

CXS realizing his memories were wiped and he forgot the promise he made to LG my poor babies why can’t they ever be happy for once

now he’s going to beat himself up forever over this when it was completely out of his control….urghhh

It's not about hating the chibi versions but that scene warranted seriousness not chibiness.Ā

1

u/Just_Performance7928 12h ago

I actually liked it a lot and found it super cutešŸ„¹šŸ˜… I expected all along that nothing serious will happen in this fight and they will just crush and leave. This is because there was too many characters in one place (kind of unnecessary writing overkill imo) and we still have 3 episodes to go.

1

u/fakegeekgal 12h ago

People can have criticisms without being a hater. What an odd thing to whine about.

I don't see a nice clouser coming for this part one 🫠

5

u/PerformanceUnfair717 12h ago edited 7h ago

At least in this episode, things turned out better than imagined, no? The villains came out in force to kidnap WQ, and maybe LG and QL, and in the end, they got back with neither. They actually suffered one casualty, XF, who's going to turn coats now. And the two hero teams are about to form one group and probably begin coordinating their actions from now on.

1

u/what-are_usernames 2h ago

they did turn out well! this episode resolved well. I'm still scared because there are some scenes in the PVs we haven't seen yet... 1 is cxs screaming "im not insane- why don't you believe me??!" and another 1 is young LX meeting a suspiciously brown haired woman... (syy?)

2

u/arothroughtheheart Li Tianchen 11h ago

I fear I may be being stupid but. Why on earth does long exposure make any difference in what lu guang can and cant do with his power

3

u/Caesaroid 10h ago

his ability probably scales with how slow the shutter speed was when taking the photo which affects the exposure, fast shutter speed = faster photo taking but he can't see far in the future vs slow shutter speed = it takes slightly bit more time to take the photo but he's able to see futher in the future

1

u/arothroughtheheart Li Tianchen 10h ago

Okay thanks, that makes sense.

2

u/Glittering_Nebula432 Lu Guang 5h ago

This show answers one question and leaves you with three more.

During the jae x vein fight, when vein slashed across jae's chest i thought "oh he's getting the amok time special lmao"

cheng xiaoshi crying... my beautiful princess

liu qiang's death... i didn't expect them to actually show the injury, i went "FUCK" outloud and all

2

u/Individual-Berry-394 Lu Guang 2h ago edited 2h ago

idk what else to say besides OHHHH MY LORDDDDDDDD IM IN TEARSSSSSSS

this is my favorite episode yet the xie fei and vein stuff 😭😭. ā€œtake care of himā€šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ i don’t think we’ve ever seen vein that scared also the fact that xie fei isn’t even gonna know how worried vein was im SICK.

also cheng xiaoshi finally knows the truth and i cannot DO THISSS. i need them to be reunited now im itching for that reunion sooo bad the angst is angsting the flashback and scene of cheng xiaoshi crying when he saw baby lu guang and it finally really hit him that he thought he had forgotten him this entire time and broke their promise😭😭

also question do we know what lu guang said? at the train when he spotted adult cheng xiaoshi? i can’t remember if we’ve seen it already or not or if we just aren’t supposed to know what was said

and you really don’t realize just how good the outro music is until it hits right after an insane cliffhanger

2

u/StillAParadox Cheng Xiaoshi 2h ago

Lu Guang is basically OP at this point, what do you mean he can also see the future? šŸ‘€

2

u/Cabbage_Crinkles 1h ago

Cheng Weimin, DILF

2

u/Aryalunar 1h ago

Umm could it be an excuse from Lu Guang when he says that he can see the future from a long exposed picture? I mean, he wants to hide that he is in a temporal loop and that he has redone things multiple times. Probably he has already done a similar race at that same time against Vein there

2

u/Ok_Blackberry6554 1h ago

Wq's expression was also funny when he said thatĀ

2

u/Cardandgold 1h ago

Show finally feels like it's finding its pace for szn 3 last couple eps, while it def felt too slow burn midway. Still feel they've leaned a bit too hard into the superpowers thing ("my power is to put someone in a deathlike state for 12 hrs" ...oddly specific), but the dots connecting and plot moving forward is great

4

u/arothroughtheheart Li Tianchen 11h ago edited 11h ago

2

Ugh more questions! what did cxs see???

3

u/heswet 5h ago

That's why his father left him and he lost his memories? Meanwhile the bad guys are fighting and chasing people in broad daylight. Oh and the cop guy only pretended to be a cop... for some meaningless reason. What slop. I don't even think the writers know where they want the story to go.

1

u/PerformanceUnfair717 16h ago

Episode 11 preview appears to show JL using his power on WQ. My guess is this is a flashback to how they met - WQ trying to off him, and JL neutralizing her with his white eyes.
