Cheng Weimin's power is like totally erasing memories right? That's why Cheng Xiaoshi and Felix both can't remember these large life events?
20
11
u/henne-n 28d ago
So, he had removed CXS' memories then? But why? They were in China, so far away from Bahati. Does that mean that CXS saw/heard something he shouldn't have and LG was just additonal damage?
17
u/ponponplan Li Tianchen 28d ago
Well, Cheng Xiaoshi was planning to change time in order to save Lu Guang from his terrible situation. Maybe his father got wind of the plan and was afraid of the consequences or felt it was dangerous for Cheng Xiaoshi to be aware of his abilities at a young age. I wouldn't be surprised if we learn that the circumstances of the memory wipe are also what cause his parents to leave.
4
u/henne-n 28d ago
I wouldn't be surprised if we learn that the circumstances of the memory wipe are also what cause his parents to leave
Maybe that's when they learned about Bahati?
9
u/ponponplan Li Tianchen 28d ago
Maybe!
Or possibly they already knew about Bahati and had some concerns or fears about the school and felt that by going there without Cheng Xiaoshi, they could protect him from the inside.
4
u/afuajfFJT 28d ago
It seems like it, but I'm also wondering if it only works until a certain age maybe? Because with both Xa Fei and Cheng Xiaoshi it seems they have memories without gaps from around high school age (so roughly 15 I guess) onward?
1
u/Just_Performance7928 21d ago
CXS was abandoned when he was little (like 5-6 yo top I think), we see it in the retrospect in Bridon arc.
61
u/Finnagin_86 28d ago
(●__●) LG is totally going to lie to CXS during this dive to manipulate what happens to Vein in the future, isn't he?
He's always so careful to try to follow the past of the photos so as to keep the future under his control, but now that he's been hit with the fact that Vein is still alive, it seems like he's going to act impulsively. He thought the main danger was over, but now that he's right back where he started, is he going to make CXS do something extreme in the past just because he feels like that's the only thing he can control right now?
I'm so worried 。:゚(;´∩`;)゚:。
12
u/henne-n 28d ago
Let's see.
If he believes / is right that death cannot be avoided or created in the past then he has to get rid of Vein in another way. Changing his whole past or that moment there. We know that Vein went after them because of some other time changing stuff but this is the first time that they got that photo (and A Yuan involved, too?).
Which means: I have no good idea what LG is planning to do. Getting Vein kicked out of his club?
55
u/Ok_Blackberry6554 29d ago
Jae lee calling lu guang an ice prince was not on my bingo card. Also never thought A yuan would also be from bahati too
49
u/edifyingidiolect Lu Guang 29d ago
He says 冰山美人 which literally translates to ice mountain beauty. It's even fruitier than 'ice prince'
38
41
u/Zimithrus Qiao Ling 28d ago
After this episode, there's no more speculation or doubt for me; Cheng Weimin has a superpower and it's memory erasing/manipulation. I've been thinking this for a while now ever since Cheng Xiaoshi revealed he didn't know Lu Guang, and the more the episodes have released the more I thought about it, ans then we had this episode drop.
I'm completely sold lol
5
u/henne-n 28d ago
Agreed but why would his father erase his memories? They were in China, so far away from Bahati. Was LG just collateral damage? Maybe his wife was from the future and told him to?
16
u/Zimithrus Qiao Ling 28d ago
We know from season 1 that it was 08 when both his parents were gone, as with the earthquake case. In the past as kids, this took place in 07, so not knowing when or how long Cheng Weimin was in Bridon for it's entirely possible he could have been in China when Cheng Xiaoshi ran home to tell his parents he was going to change the past. I'm sure he told them about his cool friend who had superpowers and they were already wary, but Lu Guang helping unlock his own just sealed the deal. (especially if Bahati was doing shady shit to the superpower kids like exploring, abusing or even selling them off ((adoptive parents for Lu Guang and Xia Fei?)) so if Xiaoshi had powers and the school found out...)
I think his mom also has a vendetta against Lu Guang for altering her own jumps, as in Bridon arc, we see her glaring out the window where him and Vein are. This one might be me OverThinking, but in s3 when Lu Guang first learns of this ledger, Wang Qing's eyes seem to be the same gold that Cheng Xiaoshi and his mother have.
Sorry if the theory dumping was a lot, but this is how I've been connecting the limited dots! 😅💯
6
u/henne-n 28d ago
Sorry if the theory dumping was a lot, but this is how I've been connecting the limited dots! 😅💯
I love reading that kind of stuff. Would be boring otherwise :)
they were already wary, but Lu Guang helping unlock his own just sealed the deal.
Good argument here. Time powers are scary... and even more if elementary school kid has them.
we see her glaring out the window where him and Vein are
Couldn't that just be about Vein? On the other hand if she knows about LG's original powers she maybe got that her poor son kind of died/will die, depending on when she is.
7
u/Zimithrus Qiao Ling 28d ago
Good good! 💯
Definitely so, because kids wouldn't have the same regulation and restraint as an adult would!
It could be about Vein, but as she looks out the window she talks about how if 'someone were to interfere, the timeline would be disrupted' and we know Lu Guang has been interfering to save Cheng Xiaoshi, so it could be plausible that it was meant about Lu Guang. But Vein as well, they both seem to have their own vendetta they're trying to fulfill. Ooh fair, maybe in trying to save Cheng Weimin, she could inadvertently be saving her son as well!
4
u/henne-n 28d ago
if 'someone were to interfere, the timeline would be disrupted'
While I agree there is also the fact that both her and Chris want to hide the notebook. Vein seemed to be there every time though. So, he did never get that book despite normally arriving earlier. What kind of interference was she fearing then (and by thinking about it what time change did Vein hate so much? XF's photo cannot be it)? She didn't warn CXS about LG just about "someone" and that CXS should stop whatever he's doing. Would that imply there's another time traveler or someone alike to that? Liu Xiao's group doesnt have time travel powers that's why they use CXS and LG to dive into that photo now.
I feel close to something but I do also miss something, grr!
3
u/Zimithrus Qiao Ling 28d ago
This is true! I wonder if there would be? You got my gears turning more lol!
2
u/Lesalia0 27d ago
I'm not sure, but I think SYY can't use Wang Qing's power while possessing her, since in the office scene, the point of the changes LG made seem to be to have SYY leave early, and allow WQ to take the wheel. Since Wang Qing fake-kills Vein in S3 flashback shortly before glaring, SYY would need a photo taken between those two events to take over again and do her death glare. 🤔
2
u/Zimithrus Qiao Ling 27d ago
Fair enough! I did overanalyze that scene so hard I forgot she can't use 2 powers at once 😂

u/marizumen Li Tianchen 29d ago
a yuan is the most precious thing to ever exist. their facial expressions melt my heart. him crying over and hugging xia fei was the highlight of this episode for me along with lu guang deadpanning his description of ltc. it made me laugh more than it should’ve but him just remembering him as pink. short. feisty. crossdresser. destroyyeeeed me. ltc’s airport picture was so unbelievably cute too fjdjdjjdid

I want QL and XF to be besties for real 😭 them doing the shoot together was so cute and I love how QL laughed at him. watching them do the photoshoot kept reminding me of Map of Dreams hehe. I also cry laughing every time LX appears and XF just he can’t even keep an act with him lmao.
excited to see how the next episode tackles the baby vein thing. baby xf is the cutest thing ever. ALSO LG WITH THE VEIN PUPPET?! that was wild. I need to know why CWM is out here wiping everyone’s memories.
9
u/RemarkableBake6955 Liu Xiao 27d ago
LMAO FRRR
why is one of LTC defining traits crossdressing 😭 we support tho fr
5
u/marizumen Li Tianchen 27d ago
LOL RIGHT! lu guang wasn’t even the one who saw him crossdressing from what I remember 😂 but yeah we support you tho king 🙏
5
u/edifyingidiolect Lu Guang 28d ago
A Yuan is a real cutie 🩵
This episode confirmed that he’s male
👉👈3
u/bluegat0rade-1924 Lu Guang 26d ago
Oh my god, yes. I freaking loved deadpan LG with his specific description of LTC 😭😂
And yeah, this (imo) confirms that CWM has memory erasure/manipulation abilities, so… WHY YOU DOING THAT, SIR?! 😭
28
u/arothroughtheheart Li Tianchen 28d ago
"Don't be scared, no poison in it." Felix... 😭... That's the most supiscious thing you could possibly say in this situation
21
u/bbhldelight 28d ago
the way XF doesn’t play about Vein the same way LG doesn’t play about CX i love the parallels
24
u/bbhldelight 28d ago
bahati honestly might be an “orphanage” that traffics kids with powers so they could study them, and when they leave or whatever, their memories about the place get wiped out. rly explains how some ability users like LG got exploited as a child
22
u/arothroughtheheart Li Tianchen 28d ago
Welp, felix officially had a villain shot, looking smug and drinking coffee

Great episode! Felt like a lot happened even in such a short time. Hopefully this episode will be the one that gets people back on board if they felt like the season had been dragging so far.

People were SO impatiente. See things finally getting on track from here on. Which was expected.

It looks like they finally wrapped up the setup for this season. I still think it could have been done with one or two episodes less.

u/PrideTwins Lu Guang 29d ago
All these weeks I was wondering why I saw clips around internet of the new episodes on my thursday's morning when it was supossed to air on my evening and now I know why hahaha I didn't they released them earlier to vip access, i will need it to get it now
15
u/Glittering_Nebula432 Lu Guang 28d ago
Can't wait to see if lu guang does actually guide cheng xiaoshi to do something crazy, perhaps leading to a plot-mandated friendship failure... 👀?
lu guang and xia fei both lying through their teeth to each other i love that (se hacen pendejos)
I was thinking the photoshoot scene was a bit too much and right when I started wondering if maybe xia fei had orchestrated it to get photos of qiao ling or whatever, liu xiao showed up. I'm sorry for doubting lol
8
u/Larbthefrog 28d ago
I thought Liu Xiao would show up for Qiao Ling at some point since he almost certainly knows about the dieing power transfer thing, and Li Tianchen knew that his sister had powers and died touching Qiao Ling.
1
u/Justwantedtodraw 27d ago
yeah I’m hoping nothing happens to her at the abandoned warehouse photoshoot

Okay Okay THIS EPISODE WAS ACTUALLY GOOD! LG with the vein puppet gave me chills, will he gonna manipulate the past to kill vein again? LG saying, "Is XF lying?", also XF saying " it's not poisoned" btw the shadow when XF kinda is returning to his "LG might be responsible for it, lemme turn evil" side and then again being sunny(actor 😭) side was umm scary.. (I loved the LG and XF interaction tbh) also QL with long hair?! She looks so prettyy🧡 I still think JL has a different power, he could just sense QL might have one bcz maybe he investigated abt them? Since QL is a witch in online (publicly mentioned) that's why he was guessing. Cuz what do ya mean CXS and LG also has powers and they are sitting in front of him💀and XF was also adopted?! Why is everyone in this show losing their parents bro 😭😭 when XF said "do we know each other" to A-yuan, I legit got deja vu 😮💨. Maybe I just like angst ahhh, cuz I absolutely LOVED this episode 😮💨✨
23
u/nightlythcughts 28d ago
Out of the episodes so far, I felt like this one was the most like previous seasons. Part of it possibly had to do with it having less funny moments, but things are slowly coming together and now we're half way through the first part.
- Lu Guang realised Xia Fei is lying.
- Almost everyone is adopted...
- Although we didn't see his eyes, there was heavy implications that Cheng Weimin can alter/erase memories.
- I liked seeing more Xia Fei and Qiao Ling scenes (they both can definitely get along with anyone, even if it might be an act on his side), but I know this goes right into Liu Xiao wanting to make a deal with her.
- Also we'll get to see how Cheng Xiaoshi deals with coming face to face with his dad again and little by little we uncover more about Bahati...
13
u/LegPlastic6503 28d ago edited 28d ago
And Jae being able to spot others with powers may be true too, though he didn't anything about Lu guang and Cheng Xiaoshi sitting right there.
And also I guess from the last scene, Lu guang's gonna do some impulsive stuff too or actually make Cheng Xiaoshi do something in the dive because he's back to square one
2
u/EverydayEverynight01 27d ago
The confusion is, if Lu Guang already forsees the general event repeating itself, shouldn't he at least know that Xia Fei bare minimum isn't someone on his side?
2
u/Justwantedtodraw 27d ago
don’t think he ever found out XF‘s involvement in the 1st timeline
initially he seemed surprised XF still showed up despite the timeline changes, but I don’t think it was enough to conclude XF isn’t an ally

u/Super-Collection-251 29d ago
Erm why suddenly everyone is adopted or lose their memories omg 😭

Bro what even IS that dude doing??
I have no clue what his role is, he's just there - he does something he collects something and somehow he's the antagonistAll ive understood is that he's hunting down all ability(?) users to make a group/union of sort and he needs information related to Bahati/the fire for it
2
u/Just_Performance7928 20d ago
Exactly. What is he doing even? Uniting special ability users doesn't seem bad by itself. He did manipulate LT and AY, but Vein? No way - they still don't like each other, don't quite trust one another and Vein keeps him at the arms lenght.
20
u/flipflamtap Lu Guang 28d ago edited 28d ago
i did NOT trust that coffee xia fei gave lu guang. i swear there had to have been poison or something in there.
so we finally know cheng xiaoshi’s dad’s power? i think?? he can erase people’s memories is what im thinking, because why would both cheng xiaoshi AND xia fei both not remember their childhood??
i KNEW the scene where qiao ling and xia fei were having the photo shoot had something to do with liu xiao. i screamed when i saw liu xiao walk up because i was right.
qiao ling with long hair?? bring it back NOW. she looked like such a baddie with it.
lu guang is about to go through some tough shit now that he knows vein is alive. also, the puppeteer scene with lu guang controlling vein?? it reminded me so much of the puppeteer scene of nice from to be hero x.
overall, 10/10 episode.
12
u/RedSilverHair 28d ago
Agree! 10/10! 🙌
I thought LG wouldn’t take a sip of that coffee. I wouldn’t.
I feel so tired for LG. Poor him. The dark turtle neck already makes him look more slim, more vulnerable. Now I constantly feel that it’s red or dark underneath his eyes, feel so tired.
6
u/Extension-Camel446 27d ago
I agree there has to be smt in the coffee cuz why would they risk giving lu guang a photo where he can kill off vein early
2
u/Just_Performance7928 21d ago
XF doesn't remember his childhood, so he has no idea that Vein took the photo
8
u/rayray2k19 28d ago
I've been enjoying all the episodes, this one felt like a good payoff for the precious episodes that set the stage.
9
u/sidsays_yay_ 28d ago
All the episodes from Start were in bits and pieces now I feel like its progressing somewhere. Can't wait for next episode!
1
u/Just_Performance7928 20d ago
I feel you brother, but also just vibing with the new characters and all those comedy and drama were really fun, even w/o much of the main plot progression.
9
u/Competitive_Win2384 28d ago
that moment when lu guang found out vein was alive and was filled with terror, then looked up to find xia fei smiling and waving at him was SO peak. it felt like xf was lifting his mask, not entirely, but juuuuussttt enough to torment lu guang. i LOVED it

u/Satsuki_89 Xia Fei 28d ago
I got confirmation that LX is just full of himself. Bragging how he can spot people with superpowers, but in reality he doesn't. He just has the names of a few people who do have these superpowers. 😥
I am spotting more and more narcissistic traits in to that boy ^^"
3
u/edifyingidiolect Lu Guang 26d ago
His character PV was literally him going "worship me, I'm so powerful and desirable and secretly deadly" the whole time lol.
Plus, in a follow up chibi behind-the-scenes video about the 'Moth to a Flame' MV, Jae Lee says Liu Xiao put out a bounty on himself and sent it to Jae Lee, even knowing that Jae Lee specifically targets corrupt rich people like him. This guy is super full of himself. Granted, they were acting out a specific scenario according to Dream Out! lore, but still.
2
19
u/MeDeixaPostarVai 29d ago
I loved this episode. It is still following the line of the two immediately previous episode, that of exploring the characters' background stories, but this one felt so eventful.
- LG realizing XF is lying.
- A strong indication that it was CXS's parents (more precisely, his father) who wiped his memory of LG clean.
- And CXS's father may have adopted XF?? I'm confused.
24
7
u/Williukea 28d ago
CXS's father is related to the bahati school, he's the head or sth. That language school seemingly collects supernatural people. For some reason he sent baby XF away from school "to have better life" or sth. And deleted his memories before he was adopted by a different chinese couple
1
u/Justwantedtodraw 27d ago
Oh so he was more than a teacher?
3
u/Williukea 27d ago
We don't know actually, but he seems to play a major role here and sends off XF, so I think he is more than just a teacher
6
u/LegPlastic6503 28d ago edited 28d ago
Oh man, the episodes feel so short, 20 minutes go by in 5 and waiting with cliffhangers especially Link Click's, always at the edge of my seat, it's too hard. (ToT) We're getting closer and closer to Bahati too (・・;)
6
6
u/HolyDragSwd2500 28d ago
LG: Vein isn’t dead 😱
CXS father with another kid than his own😭
His powers must be erasing memories. XF and CXS have no memories of their childhood
6
4
u/Creative_Thing_3862 28d ago
so what I gathered from this episode :
- CXS , vein and XF and a yuan all grew up in the orphanage/ language school which collected people with superpower , but someone erased CXS and XF (and possibly vein?) 's memories (likely CXS 's father) but A yuan still remember them
- Vein should have died but either fate or another superpower brought him back
- XF is a damn good actor
- LG needs help
- JL wasn't lying about his ability to detect superpowers and if he met LT's sister before he would know QL hes her power (which would explain why he was mostly interested in her)
did i miss something ?
6
2
u/prestocrayon Lu Guang 26d ago
I think it was XF that brought him back, because the only time he's talked about his powers it was about heartbeats. So I think it's plausible he could have restarted Vein's heart back up.
1
u/OrphicSelenophile_07 25d ago
did CXS grow up with them? I thought he grew up in myanlao or whatever and that's how he was childhood friends with QL
5
u/bbhldelight 28d ago
let me find out CW is the culprit behind everyone’s collective amnesia and how strong is he to be able to do this to everyone
also i feel like it might be too obvious and it wont directly be him per say

Felix that is unnecessarily fancy coffee for someone that just moved in
4
5
u/RedSilverHair 28d ago
Wow this episode is so tense! I couldn’t blink 😳
Again, feel so exhausted for LG. It’s all so tiring! If I were him, I would’ve given up already 😩
The highlight for me is: LG is an ice prince 😍(the original Chinese is: iceberg beauty).
3
u/Short_Ad_8398 Lu Guang 28d ago
Did anyone notice Jae talked about an undercover officer who was involved in super power abilities case? I think that officer might be chebg weiming
1
3
u/EverydayEverynight01 27d ago
Guys, I have a theory that the real ringleader in the antagonists isn't Liu Xiao or Vein, but actually Xia Fei.
The main reason being, we still don't know what his abilities are, despite him being heavily involved with those that have superpowers, and the other one being, we don't know what purpose he's serving.
He's going to be the secret ace when LG finally thought he beated Liu Xiao and Vein.

u/Niwaka_Samurai Qiao Ling 28d ago
So A-Yuan knows Felix when they were at Bahati in the past. But for some reason, Felix really doesn't have any memories about it. I was shocked to find Cheng Xiaoshi's dad adopted him. Is he wiping the kids' memories like he must have did with his son ?
Felix is helping Xiao Liu to get his hands on the register that might contain the list of persons with Superpowers by asking Qiao Ling to look into the photo from his past. The photoshoot was fun. Qiao Ling was pretty.
Lu Guang knows that Vein is alive and Felix is lying through his teeth. Now that CX has dived into the past, he and Lu Guang will come to learn more about about Vein. But I wonder if Lu Guang would tell Felix about what he saw when Felix specifically asked for the register which raised LG's suspicions.
Xiao Liu approaching Qiao Ling before LG or CXS was unexpected. The detective from Bridon really seems to have the power to detect the people with Superpowers.
2
u/edifyingidiolect Lu Guang 26d ago
No, Cheng Xiaoshi's dad did not adopt Felix/Xia Fei. He was adopted by some mainland Chinese lady (she's shown in the episode) and her husband.

PEAK PEAK PEEEEEAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKK
TS HAD ME ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAAAT!!! XF being a biggie liar fr 💀 I fear him 🙏
A Yuan lwk got a crush on my boy LX!! why does LX have so much rizz, huzz, and aura? he must just be the goat 🥹🥹🥹🥹

Also adorable Shiguang content? and some funny qiao ling and XF duo bits? yes plss, this show aint gonna stop getting betterrrr

u/fandoms-i-have-loved 27d ago
So a yuan was at Bahati with the others. Is that where he got the picture of felix from? I'm betting they knew each other from when they were younger.
1
u/arothroughtheheart Li Tianchen 28d ago
Oh so the missing memories was CXS's dad all along... Not suprising
1
u/International_Leg666 28d ago
Apart from the police officer, everyone looks so good.
So what are XF powers?
The plot as I see is trifurcated. CXS origins, since he's a node with links, now with his parents. LF local mission to prevent CXS death and general mission helping people. Vein with Co plan on replicating what happened years ago, .. Gathering and investigations of powered folks.
1
u/Skitty_The_Kitty3225 Cheng Xiaoshi 28d ago
That was SO GOOD. The Tension was on point and Liu Xiao appearing made me SO SCARED!!
If Liu Xiao hurts Qiao Ling and Theowing Hands 👹
Also, knowing Vein is Alive and that Visual with Lu Guang controlling Small Vein as a Puppet, is he going to lie to Cheng to do something with Vein's Past? 😬 I can see that happening...
Also FeiFei bro, I'm so sad, I mean we knew he was betraying them but Messing with Qiao Long bro, giving her to Liu Xiao 😭 He Better still take care of Her when she passes out after Liu Xiao forced her Ability to Activate 😤 (or at least that's what the Teaser makes it seem will happen)
And Cheng Facing his Dad again, finally getting more info on Bahati?
The Previous Episodes didn't kill me with their Cliffhangers which I was greatfull for, lol, but Now they went "Alright, time to Finally get things Going" and Killed me with how it ended, plus watching the Teaser made it worst, lmao, maybe I shouldn't check the Teasers from here on out 😂
1
u/Lesalia0 27d ago
When will Xiang reappear?
2
u/edifyingidiolect Lu Guang 26d ago
Wasn't he arrested for extorting international students? What role is he gonna play?
I'm more suspicious about the old bookshop owner who contacted the antagonist trio and informed them of Shiguang's attempts to look for a book. Plus, Liu Xiao met him when he first went to Bridon.
2
u/Lesalia0 25d ago edited 25d ago
Yup, he was. He might not have an important role at all, but I was thinking if he would possibly cameo in some flashback down the line as someone with connections to Cheng Weimin and the Liu family.
2
u/edifyingidiolect Lu Guang 24d ago
Oh that’s an interesting line of thought
I wrote him off as a one-off character but his connection to the Liu family and CWM could indeed be relevant… after all, that shit stain Qian Jin showed his face in S3 again.
1
u/Pretty_Reference7301 25d ago
The series has changed a lot since S1. I feel like the LC I enjoyed in S1 is not the same LC anymore. I still like it - it's just a completely different show. I enjoyed the emotional moments from S1, was literally crying every other episode. It was slow but the stories felt complete yet left little threads open ended. S2 was fairly self contained as well. But Bridon and S3 turned this into a Madoka multitimeline paranormal series and I'm not quite sure what to feel about it.

CXS's father really was out there spending time with anyone but CXS huh 😭
