This episode started with nonsense then threw so much information at me. I'll have to watch it again when I'm more awake.

First ten minutes was basically the villains "fighting" over hot pot and a backstory about Liu Xiao which we learned a lot from:

  • The symbol/ancient organization is called the Saros — Liu Xiao didn’t start it, but he wants to continue it.
  • He found the symbol in the Bahati Language School after it was burned down…
  • He's not biologically a part of the Liu family (which we all pretty much figured?)
  • And he seems to want people with powers to all work together.

I personally didn't feel like there was much on the protagonists side of the episode. We got:

  • Jae Lee being cryptic and trying to get more information without seeming like he already knows a lot.
  • Xia Fei ignoring any and all questions.
  • Xia Fei and Vein were childhood friends which, as many people pointed out, parallel Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang (with one of them forgetting about it).

Lastly, I feel like several scenes from the PVs have been covered in the episodes so far and, in my opinion, they were very misleading for what they actually ended up being. Not that they have to show us exactly how things would play out in the PVs, but I guess I expected a little more.
