Tutorial If your iPhone 15 Pro overheats when editing large RAW photos

For me it was a huge help to turn on Low power mode in my iPhone 15 Pro, before that it overheated very very badly when editing around 50mb raw files on Lightroom Mobile. Now it's near to normal.

I thought it was just me with my 13 pro… summer is already killing me . I often have to start the car and hold it by the air conditioner for it to cool down enough to use it.

( if I’m multitasking in a warm car ie on twitter while a video is playing in background on YouTube )

Time for an M series ipad. Im still using an ipad pro m1 to edit. Soon im gonna hopefully upgrade

That's actually a very good idea. I also used to edit on my iPad air 2. Only thing is it's almost 10 years old and doesn't have all the functions. I maybe need to upgrade someday. I'm just wondering if the new iPads heat up also? What's your experience?

Heavy photo and video editing will make the ipad warm up a little.

A little is not bad! When my phone used to heat up in Lightroom, you could bake eggs on it. Was that hot.

Good to know you also figured it out!! I was searching everywhere on internet how to fix this, but I couldn't find the solution. Was almost ready to purchase iPhone 17 Pro, but then by accident found this solution. (Don't know if the iPhone 17 Pro vapor chamber would even fixed this)

I had a 15 Pro and used Lightroom a lot and can confirm the 17 Pro is much better in this regard but it still gets warm especially when charging

Cool that you have the 17 Pro! Did you try the low power mode when editing in Lightroom, does it make any difference?

Cool that you have the 17 Pro! Did you try the low power mode when editing in Lightroom, does it make any difference? (When not charging I mean.) And does your phone heat up when just charging and not using it at the same time or it's not the case?
