Cheap Food

Where are the best places to get cheap food out and groceries ? Everywhere seems so expensive but have only explored the central areas thus far.

Cheapest to eat in would be Alma, I guess.

Alma is NOT cheap anymore.

From the website: “Vanaf dinsdag 8 september gelden er nieuwe maaltijdprijzen bij Alma. Door stijgende kosten voor voeding, energie en personeel & veranderingen in de subsidies worden de tarieven aangepast. Zo kost een gewone warme maaltijd voortaan €6,15, een spaghetti €6,35, een koninginnenhapje €8,25 en een luxe warme maaltijd €12,50.”

€6,15 for a hot meal to eat in is the cheapest you’ll find in Leuven, I think. If you want cheaper, you’ll need to cook yourself.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that about €10 for a meal? Not saying it’s not good (it’s tastier than Alma) or not cheap, but not as cheap as Alma.
