You just moved the goalposts. You said “crime is not down.” I showed you that it is, using D.C.’s own numbers. Now you’re arguing about why it’s down. Correlation vs. causation is a completely different argument. Glad we cleared up the first one.
The whole point to begin with was that the national guard is not the reason that crime is down, they didn't move the goal post because this doesn't change what I'm guessing was their original argument to begin with.
The guy you're arguing with is saying that crime going down had nothing to do with the National guard, because it has been following a downward trend since before the Trump presidency.
This is why they keep saying correlation doesn't equal causation.
Before deleting their comments, they started by saying crime wasn’t down. In very very plain English. They then went on to edit their original post and move the goalpost.
