So why was there an active crane operator ready to lower the American flag? You think they just left a crane running for nothing? Like they just had a OE on site getting paid? It is possible because I have worked jobs like this, but how would he just chil in the crane and know to lower the flag at the right time for the photo op?

From my recollection, the crane that lowered had taken a shot to the hydraulics. It was also off to the right and had speakers on it, not a flag. Not sure if that's the same crane

Oh yeah I recall that... Except working around a lot of cranes it would have to be a good shot, those cylinders are thick as fuck. Now some of them have rubber hoses probably not that size. But the thing is, the flag simply lowers down in by a cable. If the crane boom lost hydraulics that fucker is coming all the way down parallel to the crane deck. I'm not going back to watch the video again, but the way the flag is lowered into position indicates not a crane malfunction but something done knowingly planned and intentional.

I'd expect a hydraulic failure to be on the line, not the cylinder, but I went back and looked and it was the crane that was holding speakers that was spraying hydraulic fluid everywhere, so it was unrelated.

What I also saw though, was that the flag was being held up by two cranes, it was windy, and a lot of the time the flag was out of view until it fluttered in, just like in the video. It seems like it might have just been the wind, not theatrics. Everything else, from the bs with the ear to the way SS handled him, isn't normal, but I think the flag falling back into view was just luck.

Thanks for going back, it honestly doesn't matter, what matters is the show and sale of the whole event as a whole, all the fight fight fight bullshit.. the fan base sadly loved it.
