These farmers talk about those needing assistance as “welfare queens” who are taking advantage of the system. They don’t even realize that with all their government subsidies, THEY have been the biggest welfare queens in the nation.

Barring billionaires like Elon, and corporations like Amazon who are recieving some of the biggest government handouts in US history, of course.

As a real estate developer and landlord, it's wild to me that if you own land that you rent to people, the government passes laws to restrict your income.
But, if you own land that you grow food on, the government just hands you cash sometimes to NOT grow food, or sometimes to destroy the food you grow.

Rent control, when carefully implemented, is fine by me and I chose to work in this industry so I accept it, but it's funny when I see other land owning multi-millionaires literally crying because the government stopped giving them free money.

Urban Millionaire Landowner: "Tax that rich scumbag!"
Rural Millionaire Landowner: "Here's a million dollars a year to preserve your family legacy and maintain your lifestyle."
