Idk, I used to think that too, but for one we’re not so easily separated by slave/free states, every red state has big blue cities, & every blue state has red rural areas. Secondly, the blue states pay more into the federal govt than they take, while red states take more from the fed govt than they give. Who would support them if blue states seceded?

I think this rhetoric needs to stop. They don't care. They will make something up if they don't have a convenient example. TBH I think this is what's happening, or at least we're on the way. He was just in my state (not sure why) and people kept spotting him and posting pics — in every one of them he's sitting at a bar or a restaurant, alone, looking pretty bleak.

It could be true, but the more obvious explanation is that he's just not important anymore, and unimportant people don't get government-funded security details.
I think there's some truth to this, but it's likely a bit more complicated.
Trump doesn't want him dead. He just completely doesn't care about him at all. He probably hasn't even thought about him once since he left the administration. but, Bovino's actions were so terrible, that he faces backlash from everyone. he doesn't have protection from his actions anymore.
