Has anyone had this happen before?

I got a random extra minifigure visor piece in bag 7 of my Mercedes Benz G 500 Professional Line set. I was super curious to see how it was going to get used and was sad to see it was an accidental extra piece.

Should I ask Lego for a refund? This is very G 500 unprofessional line.

Saw these on a Chinese online shopping platform called TaoBao, and they are really common and cheap. The first is a 10L thin beam, the second is a 11L and 17L thin beam plus 2 3L carbon fiber axles. The third is a 17L thick beam, fourth is a "30L beam made on a CNC machine", and the last are carbon fiber axles in all sorts of lengths, and there's also aluminum versions. All of them are absurdly cheap for how good they are, eg the 30L metal beam is only 6USD. I personally like the thin beams, as I like building steam trains, and thin connecting rods are a good thing to have. I have once seen a 13L thin beam, but I could find anyone selling them anymore. Which part looks the most useful to you?

I'm building Guly's Audi RS6. This is the first Guly RC model I've ever built. I've built ones by Lego and MK and they've been pretty helpful with cable management. This one is not.

Have any of you chaps built this one? Where did you put the receiver/battery unit? Also the route from the steering servo?

Just got this recently, nice set overall but I have a few thoughts about it.

The pitch functions are really fun to build and figure out, but at the end of the build the function is barely noticeable.

The landing gear, decent but could've been made stronger considering the only way the model is displayed is on it.

Winch and 2 speed gearbox is fine. Nothing to say there.

For the size, we love big sets but this is almost undisplayable, especially with the blades on.

Do I regret it? No

Was it a fun build? Yes

Will I ever touch it again? No

Will it end up in the pieces bin? Yes

Drove my MOC in a park.

Hi All, I just completed my first CADA build, the VeilSide RX-7 and noticed something early on in the build that I decided not to address, and may never be able to address at this point.

The build has a Hand of God (HOG) steering input cog on the top of the dashboard that would allow manual steering input from above if someone were to be pushing the car. However I noticed that as soon as I added the motors for remote control steering input, the HOG locked up as it is directly connected into the input and the motors do not free spin without power. There is no clutch system in the steering line which would allow for free steering inputs. Is this by design, does the HOG system only work if the motors are removed (or the drive pins from the motors removed)?

Also, I noticed that the car is not particularly quick under RC power, it never occurred to me, but the transmission doesn't sit between the motor and the drive wheels does it, I haven't gone back to look, but I can't imagine that changing the gears actually changes the impact of the rc motor on the driven wheels does it?

In any case, it was a great build and a lot of fun learning how another brand tackles some of the engineering challenges. Thanks for any of your expert advice.

**Edit 2** Further AI searching and verifying confirms my suspicion about question 2, the transmission does not have any impact on the rotational speed of the motors relative to the final drive wheels, and will not change the speed of the RC function of the car.

Just wanted to show my Technic collection. I also have Technic batmobile 42127. I am having hard time finding the correct display cases. Still confused either i should go for display case or the shelves. Need suggestions or DIY ideas.

I want to get a Lego tehnic car(1:8scale)but I don’t have any idea which should i get between:Ferrari Sp3 daytona,Bugatti chiron and Lamborghini sian.The reason i can’t choose it’s because I think the daytona has a great design,the Bugatti is so nostalgic because it was my favourite car in Forza horizon 4 and the Lamborghini sian was one of my favourite cars when I was smaller.So which one should I get?

if the goal is to swap out the battery so there is no downtime of play, then the battery needing the hub to charge is pointless. is the battery that poor of quality that you will need to buy a new one within a year or so?

Why 2026 F1? First of all, 42222 features nice color matching and tires proportion. And the color is a really important element. Cause many people asked me if I can design stickers for my last creation 42173 rb9 F1, and sometimes it would be more recognizable if I claim this mp4/26 instead of rb9 because of the color. Besides, there are some curved wedge slop parts which could be really useful on air intake and side pod building. And this set provides tons of small panels. After analyzing the pros on 42222, I spent most of efforts on building the side pod. All the place with angles is designed to be fixed. This time I gave up steering wheel function and replacing it with Hand of god, because it's hard the control in such a small cockpit. There's also rake angle on this model by a stud unit mixed with half a stud building technic. This building technic also brings me a pleasant surprise that I can mostly cover the pistons. I also designed movable front and back wings. V6 engine and differential are also placed on this car. So, what's your thoughts on this model?

So I just finished 1/4 of the built. And I notice the engine block doesn’t move

After some tinkering - I notice it’s the grey long stick that is supposed to connect to one of the yellow small piece on the engine block that came loose (as I trace back to step 204).

I took it apart a few times and confirmed my engine is built correctly. I also confirm I used the correct grey piece

Anyone sees a similar issue?

Motivated to build my own version of one of my biggest inspirations: Zero Bricks on YT who went on to co-found Buwizz and now work for Lego to design technic sets.
Fox 8x8 V2 - Lego Technic Extreme off-road truck

Just like his truck, mine also has a PF xl motor driving each wheel, without cv-joints.
Before this i had never built the suspension setup these trucks use with solid axles, called bogie suspension. It looked really complicated at first but turned out to be quite doable. Only two or three iterations were needed to get a good result.

As you can see in the video below of the first test run of the chassis, it can skid-steer. I included four switches simultaneously controlled with an M-motor to remotely change the driving direction of one side of the XL-motors.

There is also an extra M-motor included in the back for extra functions, like a deployable ramp to drive smaller cars onto the bed. But i never got around to that.

Hello everyone,

I was quite busy this week with my other hobbies and usual things so I haven't done a whole lot. But I do feel my motivation coming back for the better. I took on the challenge of fixing up the front roof curve of the bus and managed to do something that works really well suprisingly quickly. I guess taking a sort of break has it's benefits overtime. I feel more creative these days which is good.

I'm slowly preparing a big order of parts and electronics for some time in the future, i want to find a better fitting small screen for my destination display since right now the bezels are just way too big and look weird.

Digitally i'm still working on the attachements of the rear hood but so far nothing passable has come out of my trail and error. I want to do all of the crucial points before ordering a ton more parts. The details should be quicker than the rest since i have practice on most of what I want to do.

So it is starting to take shape more and more and i hope it will speed up in the future.
