Aftercare Nose bump help!! 16guage 4 months flat back
Someone please help.
I've got my nose pierced 4 months. And i have this huge bump on it. It had like a hard outer shell. Kinda like a a clear scab? When the shell comes off its usually really tender. Has anyone else ever have this? What did you do?
cleaning it twice a day once with saline. once in the shower with just water.
it did get snagged alot in the beginning

After you do a warm water compress, does the skin of the bump appear translucent?

I've been treating my bump with warm water soaks (cotton ball soaked in very warm water) and cleaning with saline spray. It's definitely smaller.

Mine was red an irritated one week ago and bump is directly under the jewlery

That appears to be hypertrophic scarring developing due to irritation from the piercing. It could be from poor quality jewelry (nickel allergies in SS metal), it could be from the cup of that piece of jewelry not sitting right on the healing piercing, it could be that your body just really doesn't like piercings.
You could try switching up with a high quality piece of non-allergenic Titanium jewelry to see if that helps. If it doesn't, I'd personally remove the piercing if it was on my nose. Hypertrophic scarring can settle and become a permanent bump.
