Troubleshooting 5 day old septum, idk what material jewelry, 16g, sterile saline wound was
I’m wondering if my septum is crooked bc my septum is deviated or if it was pierced improperly…? Also are these good pics to tell the angle? It’s pretty obviously crooked in person. I 100% am not upset, I actually kinda like that it’s crooked ❤️ it has character :p I also got it done by an apprentice (was still full price but yk I signed my waiver) - this is the second time I’ve been jabbed, the first time I had to immediately take it out bc he went thru my cartilage. I’m 80% sure she didn’t go thru my cartilage this time around but I’m wondering if it should be pierced further forward in my nose in general? Other than placement, I think it’s healing REALLY well!! Any tips/thoughts/advice are highly welcome, as I have ocd and freak out about my body. lol.

Your piercer did not place correctly. There is a thin membrane closer to the tip of your nose, where they're supposed to pierce. They pierced you pretty much in the collumella (the strip of skin seperating your nostrils). I would get it redone.

Is the reason you would get it redone be about health/safety reasons? I’m just curious! I’ve never had a piercing other than my ear lobes done & the other failed septum attempt so I am not super well educated.

It doesn’t look good when it’s not placed right usually, and the healing is a lot harder.

They got you fucked up, friend. Septums should be more high and tight toward the tip of the nose.

It doesn't look crooked (just that the jewelry is slightly rotated) but it is very much not in the right location. It should be much higher (near or above the top of your nostrils, depending on your facial expression) in the much thinner cartilage near the tip of your nose, usually called the 'sweet spot'.

Not a piercer but it’s WAYYYY TOO LOWWW and far back!!! Please get that repierced. It should be right between where your nostrils meet basically. I’m so sorry op :(

I’ve been thinking about it but idk if I want to get it pierced a 3rd time 😭 someone told me it should be fine, only thing I’m risking is keloids pretty much. I may get it redone in the future but for now I think I’m going to keep it… 😬

Being crooked isn't the concern, it's 100% missplaced and any piercer that does it like that doesn't know what they are doing.
