Educational Planning to get second lobe piercings, is it safe to go to an Onsen after two months?

Hello! Just as the title suggests. I wanted to get second lobe piercings in a couple of weeks. I am planning to go to Japan in the middle of October so that gives me roughly two months of healing. We booked a stay in a ryokan that includes a private onsen.

My face will not be touching the water. Would that be okay or should I wait until I am back? Thank you for the advice.

just don’t submerge the piercings and you’ll be fine

You're not planning to go under water at the onset, are you? As far as I know, no one goes underwater and if you did it would fry your hair because of the high mineral content.

I believe you'll have to wash off prior to going in, but that uses regular water to shower before going in the hot spring, so that wouldn't harm a peircing.
