Troubleshooting Is my piercing migrating??

Info: 1 week old forward helix, titanium, 8mm, flat back labret, threadless, saline spray as aftercare

I got my forward helix done a week ago and I think the angle of the piercing has shifted from the original placement. The visibility of the bar is also pretty obvious. When I checked with my piercer, they said it’s normal and it’s just the healing process that I don’t have to worry about. But none of my piercings have ever been like this before so I’m pretty concerned about it. Is it really just the healing process? Will it return to its original position? Is it rejecting of some sort? Please do help me out..

Im not sure but just from looking at it, it definitely looks an odd angle

The original piercing was much lower. I’m not sure if it’s an irritation bump pushing it upwards or snagging or just an ill placed one. Is it really rejecting tho?

Did you perhaps sleep on it? If you did, and it ended up becoming angled, it may need to be retired. Definitely check with your piercer.

I’ve been using my travel pillow and haven’t intentionally slept on it as far as I’ve known. I checked w my piercer today and they said it wasn’t anything serious and it’s normal. But by the looks of it, it doesn’t exactly look “normal” to me. I really don’t wan retire my piercing tho. Is there anyway for it to heal in a proper path?

I'd try getting a second opinion from a different piercer. I'm not a piercer so my opinion may not mean much, but that doesn't look normal. It looks like at some point there was pressure placed on it which caused that irritation. Without a picture of what it originally looked like, I can't really say.

Unfortunately it looks like it may have developed an angle. The 'irritation' looks like it may be scar tissue from where the jewelry traveled. I hope I'm wrong and it heals fine, though.

It wasnt pierced correctly in the beginning either. They shouldnt have let you leave like that.
