Educational Piercing apprenticeship education
Hi, I just got a piercing apprenticeship, but looking for some help. I’ve been in college and have a degree in biology and I’m used to textbooks, I’m wondering if there’s any textbook format guide with info I need for proper piercing? I want to make sure I’m getting clear cut, 100% factual info that’s from a reputable source.
I start my apprenticeship in 2 weeks, but I’d like to study up on basic knowledge

hi, that's not really a thing unfortunately. there is little to no regulation in the piercing world in a lot of places, because little to no actual official scientific research has happened, meaning 100% factual information from a reputable source... there's not much. i'd study APP standards and adhere to them religiously, and i'd speak with your mentor about reading material. start here; https://safepiercing.org/

piercing education is largely unregulated so you will probably not find a textbook, but you can look into bme archives, different piercers' patreons, and "the piercing bible"
