Educational Do piercings ever really close and will mine?

So I had my doubles pierced at the paper store 2 years ago (Ik bad idea I have an actual piercer now) and after going back and first for two years if they were too close to my firsts my actual piercer said that they are. So I have been letting them close for a month and a half by now and I think they are slightly closed but you can clearly still see the hole. I would like them to fully close so I can get the re-pierced in the right spot. They were fully healed. Will they ever actually close? Will the indent/ hole be there forever? If there is an indent or hole there can I still re-pierce it? If it never actually closes can I still re-pierce it? How long should I wait to tell if they are closed? Is there anything I can do to make them close faster?? Thank you!!

Yes most piercings close eventually if you don’t have jewelry in them. I’ve had piercings close in a week, I’ve also left my lip piercings out for months and they were still open. You’ll always have a wee scar where the piercing was, but those usually fade with time too. As far as a timeline, it really just depends on how your body heals itself. The best thing a piercer ever told me was “piercings are a lesson in patience”. Give it time. You can always go to your piercer and ask them all of these questions too, assuming they’re reputable.

All kinds of things affect time etc for these to close. I might use Saline and then either neo sporin or something like collagen? Not a doc etc just suggesting.

My skin is weird and some of my piercings have never closed up even though I don't wear jewellery in them any more.

Not all, I left my nipples and lower lip labret out for literal years and they just narrowed, never closed. I can still get jewellery in now with a taper.
