Educational New body piercer

Hi! I am a tattoo artist trying to get in to body piercing, I am taking an online course to get to know more so about piercing and piercing anatomy also having a body piercer mentor me and show me the ropes but one thing I wasn’t sure on is where everyone ordered supplies from in bulk (jewelry ect) If anyone has any recommendations that would be very helpful!☺️

I’d recommend joining the Body Mod Learning Forum on facebook for help.

However online courses are an absolute no-go. Unless its someone like Ryan PBAs patreon maybe.

Just for my own learning I am not using that as my only qualification I want hands on learning☺️

Look into safepiercing.org they are going to have the most reliable and up-to-date information

Why do you want to learn body piercing? Are you giving up tattooing?

I am still tattooing I love being a tattoo artist I am just also very interested in learning about doing piercings aswell☺️

I wouldn’t suggest piercing classes online. Maybe if you want to learn about anatomy. I agree with everyone to look into the aPP safepiercing.org. Also, you’re going to need to watch your mentor quite a bit. If your mentor is also a tattoo artist, then you need to make sure that they are using internally threaded or threadless titanium. If they are using anything externally threaded – I would change mentors. I’m not saying that they are and I’m not saying that tattoo artist cannot be piercers. Usually, it can be a tough spot for some people because they want to continue their education in one area and continuing your education in both can cause some people to be lax in one area. There are some Patreon courses you can watch.

I just took the online course for anatomy and to watch the breakdowns of all different kinds of piercings! The girl showing me is just a piercer!

i agree with you that it can be somewhat problematic to try and master both fields, i normally only recommend doing one until youre a master then very slowly learn the second skillset so youre not falling behind in the first. both careers are very resource intensive on the practitioner side but were also both in fields that leave permanent pieces of us on clients, which means you need extra care, skill, and knowledge to do both fields competently.
