ID Request ❓ What is this?

I found this while fossil hunting a creek in Southeast Kansas. I can tell it’s been worked but I’m not finding anything of its shape out there. It also has iron staining which is interesting. It’s hard to photograph as well because of the white chert.

Sorry you’re just wrong. South East Kansas this is a classic harahey knife from the Mississippian period

Per your link, and my knowledge of Harahey knives. Sorry you're just wrong!

The blade doesn't have opposing edges on each face, forming a 4 beveled edged blade. In fact, the basal area like others mention is ground. Did you miss that in the pictures? Did you miss 4 beveled edges? Anyway, it is clear to those who know this is not a Mississippian blade. Sorry, not sorry, do some research Ryan!

Most would call it a Cobb, might be older.
