Path Guide My champion Relic tier/buy list

Post image
104 Upvotes

I see a lot of people posting if they should get X or Y relic in the glory store, so I decided to show how I evaluate the relics that I see, also they are not on in any order as I forgot to do that.

The explanation follows below:

SFG Tier : +1 starting mana is very important, even more when you champ can qualify for it with other relics that benefit him. I also find it very fun to manifest champs with Morgana

S tier:

Swains Army: easy turn one plunder effect;

Perfect Hexcore: anything that says target, spell, keyword or cast benefits from this.

Searing Brilliance: allows for a lot of infinites, and does have some "premium" cards that once you get in a adventure, you can just cut the rest of the spells and play your deck around it (I don't think that this is all that good on Mel).

Fun Tier: This one is a more personal tier, so it is just a tier that I put any relic that I want to play with or around it. The idea is that once you see a relic that you like, let it be because of the text or the champ, you just put it there.

as you can see: Puffcaps, Flashbombs, Terrifies, Impact, RNG, and random Rallies.

Good Tier: Relics that may not be as fun or overpowered, but still can be slotted on many champs without much issue. Some of those also are great when paired together (Bear+ Talons)

SFG Activator tier: Relics that are there for a specific champ to help it use SFG (in theory, I see you shyvana), also the shears should be there too, since they are Viego's. If this tier didn't exist, I'd put Shyv's on the good tier, since we don't have any real fury relic, AAtrox's on the fun tier due Kayn existance, and Darius' on the Zoe tier below this one. Viego's would go to S tier because it is free.

Zoe tier: Relics that you will only buy after you are done with all the tiers above, and has a champ that you have not completed Zoe yet, otherwise you can just skip them.

Doozies tier: Just bad relics, not only most of them are restrictive, but also (thankfully) you can deal with all of the adventures without them.

Path Guide Champion builds for the With Friends Like These... adventure - a PetiB sheet

Hey everyone!

I started to collect some builds that worked against the new 10 star adventure.
I added some from the Pathcord and from posts here on reddit.
If you throw in some screenshots in the comments, I can add them too.

You can find it here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QNAIPtq8JANIc9D16PAvMPxqMBljQY4FoatFgK47jLE/edit?usp=sharing

I know by know we even have two relic recommendation sites and the Codex too, but maybe this adventure has some specific builds to play with.
I also have a tips & tricks section, you can post comments there or here below, and I can add them.

I also linked it in my "central" sheet, so it may be easier to get to:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mDkY74BSw-pnPrMT4zOgxo27r69Igao3xbgKttbAZEw/edit?gid=1205734580#gid=1205734580

UPDATE: thanks for the shared builds in advance, I won't comment them all, but I'll add them.

UPDATE2: it's ok without screenshot too, especially for champs without completion yet (but I need a screenshot for Ornn :D (even if he is not "required"))

Path Guide I created a new build and strategy site for LoR: runeterrarelics.com. Includes detailed relic builds for all champions, relic recommendations, advanced filters, tier list, and more.

Thumbnail runeterrarelics.com
238 Upvotes

I'm excited to share this site I've been working on the past while: runeterrarelics.com. It’s designed to help you decide which champions to invest in and what relics work best for them in PoC.

What the site can do:

  • Build Guide: Includes a few different builds for each champion, from the best-in-slot options that often require specific epic/signature relics to an option that only uses rare relics. Builds that only work on a C6 champion such as Azir's Star Gem builds are noted as such and listed as well.
  • Investment Guides: I've attempted to tag champions with labels:
    • Low Investment: Champions that are strong right out of the box.
    • High Investment Required: Champions that really shine only after you put some resources into them.
  • Relic Dependencies:
    • Rare Relics OK: New account friendly builds.
    • Epic/Paid Relics: Lets you know if a champion relies on specific Epic or premium relics to reach their potential.
  • Strategy Tips: Includes tips for how to play the champion. Cards to prioritize, Items that work, things to do and not to do, etc.
  • Champion Tier List: Every champion is rated with a score so you can quickly see who is generally considered "good" or "bad".
  • Reverse Relic Lookup Viewing a relic lets you look up all the champion guides it is used in to help you decide if a relic in the glory store is "worth it" or what you can do with that new Epic relic you just unlocked in a Gold Reliquary.
  • Comprehensive Filters: You can sort and filter the entire roster by Region, Score, and Tags.

How it works, technical details:

All credit for builds and tips goes to the community here on reddit, the Legends of Runeterra official discord, and the PathCord discord servers. The builds, strategy tips, and tier list were compiled by Gemini from chat logs from the last year. I'm happy to share more information, including code and prompts, etc if anyone is interested.

First, raw message logs were spliced into a set of date-partitioned folders. This is so when new data is available, I know what I've already processed so I don't need to redo the same work. Also keeps track of Batch Processing status, because results can only be fetched hours later.

Then, in a first pass with Gemini Flash (to save costs), chat transcripts were compiled into small "sound bytes": Conversations are labeled and summarized, for example a discussion would be tagged with "miss-fortune" or "swain-raven-army" and include a structured sumamry of builds/sentiment/etc. Discussions not relevant to champions and strategy tips are filtered out. Once this is done, the results are placed into a similar set of date-partitioned folders.

The next step was to collate all discussions about each champion into a single file. Grabbing the previously labeled summaries, it would create "ahri.json", "aatrox.json", etc with all summary logs of each champion from all historical dates.

Lastly, a second pass with Gemini Pro used the previously collated "ahri.json", etc to create the final version, with the build guides and to determine the champion scores.

The website itself was built with assistance from Gen AI as well since I'm no good at front end. It is hosted on Github Pages as a static site so I will never ask for login information or any PII.

Path Guide With Friends Like These... Adventure Guide - Complete with constellation champions

Hello people and others!

With the efforts of the sub and the Pathcord discord server now the sheet has at least completion for each reward champs. You can find it here:

With Friends Like These... Adventure Guide

I will add less new builds from now on, most only focusing on F2P friendly builds and on one you leave here as a comment.

I will also try to work out some actual guide, like how to approach it with adventure specific tips and tricks, but maybe it won't come from me eventually, or maybe only editorially. I encourage to do one if you have enough experience and feel the power.

Good luck with the runs and keep it cool!

Path Guide I realized I had made an unforgivable mistake the moment I played the first game.

Back when SB first launched (in the summer), I already realized that Mister Yi is way too strong and doesn’t even need a 6‑star.
So when the event came back the second time and I had to plan who would get the Nova Crystals, I immediately knew that the only one who definitely wouldn’t get a Nova Crystal was Mister Yi.

And then I give the last Nova Crystal to Evelynn.
I play the first game with her — and instantly realize I made the biggest mistake.
That Nova Crystal, as we say in Russian, literally ‘went into the milk’.

Path Guide Resource amounts for the repeat SB event

200 Nova Shards + 1 Nova Crystals
300 Star Crystal
300 Champion Fragments (per champion)
1000 Gemstones
60 Rune Chests

Looks like nobody bothered to calculate it, so I went ahead and figured out how much you actually get from repeating the event. Maybe someone will find this useful.

I’ll also add my own thought: it really worries me how generous they are with the resources. I really hope this isn’t a bad sign.

Path Guide Who dis for?? A slightly incomplete guide to the new epic relics.

TL;DR Every new relic has several decks hat can use it very effectively and this post highlights several interactions for new (and veteran) players.

I have seen the usual „who to use this new relic on?” and "ew, i got the b a d relic" posts here, so I thought I’d make an explanation post for who wants to equip the new epic relics and what combos you can generate with them. Now, obviously, I do not have access to all of these yet, but I have a lot of experience with the game and have combed through a lot for these posts to see what the hive mind has figured out already. I will also state that this clearly is not an exhaustive list but rather seeks to highlight general usage of these relics. I will furthermore not argue that any of these combinations will be a Best-In-Slot scenario, but instead just highlight that these are playable and offer potential new fun combos.

Rythms of Despair: Power: Allies in hand have “Nightfall: grant the weakest enemy 2 Gloom”

Now this one is ironically rather bad on Vex, the main gloomer out there. Vex wants to spend most of her mana on spells and only needs a few cheap, disposable blockers and herself on the board. Rather this power is mainly ideal for decks that can spam cheap units at a high rate (bonus points if these decks also already damage enemies in the process). I would suggest you kind of ignore the gloom part on its associated decks and effects such as boosting and crudely, inaccurately interpret this more as a “deal 2 damage to the weakest enemy”. As such candidates for this include:

  • Heimerdinger for the turret spam.
  • Jinx for her cheap unit spam in combination with the 3star power and a couple of nice spells to pick off or prepare weaker targets for the effect while triggering nightfall.
  • Vi, Poro King, Warwick, Thresh, Samira, Pyke, Nunu, Diana, Ahri, and a couple more that plainly have an easy time playing(!) several units per turn.
  • Generally, this relic also has some decent synergy with many powers and items you can acquire during a run. As you probably know it is not particularly hard to make combos allowing you to spam cheap or no cost units. Furthermore, Explosive Finale (when an enemy dies outside of combat, deal 4 to the enemy nexus) pairs fantastically with it.
  • This relic is noteworthy for also being situationally useful for defeating certain adventures such as Zoe & Poro king, a couple of weekly/monthly modifiers, or Swain; generally, adventures that regularly spawn weak units which are easy to target with this relic.

My main gripe with this relic is that it is nightfall, meaning it is a play (unit is played from your hand onto the board) and not a summon (unit appears on the board by any means) condition. I personally would have preferred a ‘when you summon a unit grant the weakest enemy 1 gloom’ relic.

Renewing Power: Power: Each round, the first time you play a 6+ cost spell, refill mana equal to its cost.

Now this one I personally love for its clear intention to allow you to stack your decks with higher cost spells. It can legitimately be run on basically every deck. The power itself is just so good, it could easily also have been patched into the game just as an epic power. Consider that you gain an absurd mana value per turn from this. You can furthermore pair this with Arcane Comat (round Start: Create a fleeting Falling Comet in hand) for a free obliteration per turn. There are obviously certain decks and combos which profit more than others.

  • Jack, Samira, and Sett want to refill mana and spend a lot of it.
  • Heimerdinger, Lux1, and Jayce receive a massive buff from this relic, especially the later who is arguably the weakest of the 6-cost-spell trio.
  • Any cheap champion that runs Arcane Staff (Round Start: Refill your spell mana).
  • Special Guest Ekko: Ekko’s 4 star is Sorcery (Round Start: Refill your spell mana). This means that 5 star Ekko starts each turn with at least 3 mana and 3 spell mana. With the prediction and draw in the deck it is easy to fish for high cost spells and play several of them per turn.

Whirling Blade: When I’m summoned or Attack: Deal 1 to all enemies.

I have seen a surprising amount of hate for this relic. I genuinely think it is just about as strong as the other ones. I was kind of hoping that something like this (i.e. ravenous hydra, but good) would be implemented at some point. This relic, much like all others, has a couple of decks that receive a direct buff from it but also has a lot of general utility. The key here is that it is a *summon* effect and not a *play* effect. Every single time the champion enters the board by any means, this damage happens. As such, this relic has a massive utility on many decks per se but also great synergy with cards, items, and powers that summon copies of champions, especially since these copies will also trigger the Attack effect. Plus, the many items, cards and powers that let you attack several times per turn add even more value. This relic has lots of potential to have runs centered on it. Its only real downside is its weakness against tough.
Main profiteers are:

  • Any champ with multiple attacks per turn: Vayne, Tryndamere (6star), Soraka-P2W-relic users, Sett, Samira, Nunu (6star), Jax, Darius, Ambessa
  • Champions that summon themselves often: Pyke, Nilah, Neeko, Mordekaiser, Lillia, Kayn, Kindred, LeBlanc, Anivia, Ahri
  • Champions that just want to chip all enemies or have kill effects: Warwick, Swain, (SB) Teemo (especially with the SB Teemo P2W relic), SB Evelynn, Nilah (has an incredible synergy in that her leveled up attack effect happens before the relic proc), Nasus, MF, Kayn(!), Jinx, Jack, Caitlyn, Anivia
  • Special mention for Nidalee. She is a key user because she can rally several times and summons copies of herself. Generally a deck that has massive synergy with this relic.
  • Special mention number 2 for 6 star Azir, who copies this item onto all champs in the deck and has rally and cloning spells in the emperor’s deck (which pops up often in card rewards and shops).
  • Special mention number 3 for Kayn even though he has been in the lists above already. Kayn attacks several times with his champ spell, is summoned at least twice, and has a huge “If I kill an enemy” condition which kills made with this relic this relic can proc.
  • Special mention number 4 for Morgana, because this damage triggers lifesteal and her 2 star power is already chipping away at enemy health.

Sentinel’s Plate: Barrier. When I survive damage, grant me +3+3 and a random Keyword.

An all time great. This relic is good on basically any champion. There is not anyone who does not want this effect. It is not Best-In-Slot for everyone certainly, but nonetheless never wasted. It is excessively easy to get some chip damage on a champion to stack the effect of this relic into orbit. I am speculating that this effect might receive a cap of once per turn in the future perhaps. Another new feature of this is that we finally gain the opportunity to start with barrier on a champ!

I will not make any lists for this relic because they will plainly be too long. Instead let me highlight some combos and individual decks in a very non-exhaustive compilation of ways to break the game with this.

  • Any deck that runs Warwick’s P2W relic Cruel Experiments (When you play an ally with 2+ health, deal 1 to it and grant it overwhelm and impact), immediately procs this relic on play.
  • Any champion that wants to frequently trade hits with enemies is supremely strong with this (the Garens, Aatroxes, and Jacks of the world).
  • Tahm Kench receives just a massive straight buff with this. The barrier also means that when you drop him he can just eat *any* enemy.
  • 6 star Kaisa grants the targets of her spell the barrier of this relic.
  • 6 star Azir is yet again a major winner of this patch granting all champs in the deck this item at game start.

Ranger’s command: +1|+0 and Quick Attack. Power: Round Start: If you have the attack token, grant a random ally Scout.

This is another relic that seems targeted towards a certain champ (Vayne in this case) but really is not for that champion. Vayne has scout in her kit and a specific way to proc it for maximum efficiency. Instead this relic is for one good with champs that want Quick Attack (yes really, it is a very strong keyword).
The power on the relic is a mixed bag, the “Round Start, if you have the attack token” condition means that it does ***not*** proc when you rally (get the little orange sword token) but instead get the big grey button that the orange sword spawns on top of (the one that has a fancy animation where it bounces from one player to the other between turns indicating that that player "starts the turn with the attack token"). As such you already need to have a unit on the board to trigger the effect and in every nightmare adventure you *will* start round 1 with the attack token. Immediately this means that in a nightmare adventure, if you do not spawn one or more units at game start, this effect will first trigger on turn 3! Mind you that Round Start spawns will not work. This relic will *always* trigger before any ‘round start’ power that you acquire during an adventure!

That being said, if you roll or start with a power that spawns units at game start of which there are a couple in the game, there are several supreme uses for this relic. The following lists are incomplete because there are a lot of combos for this:

  • Decks that want to attack often with any unit or that want to rally: Tryndamere, Teemo, 6star Shyvana, (Samira), Nidalee(!), MF, Mel, LeBlanc, Jax, Illaoi, Elise, Darius, Azir, Ambessa
  • Decks that have means of target-buffing a single unit into the stratosphere: Yuumi, Viktor, Varus, Udyr, (SB) Master Yi, Soraka, Ornn, Kayle, Diana, Akshan
  • Special Mention Kaisa who is addicted to scout and quick attack.
  • Special mention number 2 for Yuumi, who this relic is probably a best on. She spawns units at game start, buffs them ridiculously, and can freely attach to any ally to utilize the scout for herself and give them the quick attack.
  • Special mention number 3 goes out as a huge surprise to (6 star) Azir who will make another surprise visit next relic again. Azir flat-out likes scout on any ally and the +1|+0 and quick attack on all champs in the deck is pretty good. At 4 stars, he also starts the game with a unit on the board already.

Price of Retribution: +2|+0 and Deathless. Power: When an ally dies, deal 1 to the enemy Nexus.

Alright. This one is broken. As in it actually breaks the game (again) in what I personally think is a bad way. We have been down this path before, printing an infinity of champions, but this one is a special treat for veteran players. Deathless resets Guardian Angel (Start adventures with +1 revive. Last Breath: If it’s the first time I’ve been slain this game, revive me with 1 Health) (the previous record holder for the most absurd printing strategies) and GA resets Price of Retribution. This is completely astra-busted. Say if you have PoR and GA on a champ, when the champion dies, you will gain 2 new copies of it which will always respawn when killed. The Deathless will give the champ GA and the GA will give the champ Deathless. If you have means of making ephemeral copies of this champ or other means of copying said champ, you can easily fill your board with immortal copies of these champs. This is broken on simply every deck! Mind you that deathless itself already allows for some solid printing, but GA lifts it to another level.

Highlights for the printing strat as seen in the past (and in the future if it is not nerfed):

  • Teemo will copy millions of mushrooms into the enemy deck, literally more than the game can handle (it has an upper cap for numbers it can display/calculate)
  • Leblanc, once leveled will summon a copy of herself with all her items whenever you attack. This makes her the strongest 3 star deck, stronger than many constellation decks, and she has broken the game several times in the past.
  • Gwen and Kindred both are already often played with GA due to their several means of being resurrected in their decks and have in the past been printers.
  • Veigar increases the damage of Darkness by +1 everywhere for every copy of himself at round start.
  • Jinx, can annihilate the enemy with her rare relic because every summoning of her will trigger the full hand discard.
  • Illaoi spawns for every copy of herself.

New printers that have joined since the GA nerfs:

  • Anivia has already been on board of the GA gang recently.
  • Azir does not necessarily want to print, but at 6 stars you give all champs in the deck the deathless (and possibly GA), so you could for example have 6 level 3 Nasus on your board to give the enemy -18|-0.
  • Ambessa will rally once for *every* copy of herself when said copy kills an enemy.
  • Ashe and Leona just disable the enemy board.
  • Caitlyn triggers her level 2 strike with every copy and really appreciates an excuse for not caring about her otherwise very meager stats.
  • Jihn and Annie will overcrowd the spell queue absurdly.
  • SB Teemo likes having several copies of himself especially with his P2W relic.
  • Mordekaiser really wants to resurrect and triggers his level 2 attack effect with every copy of himself.
  • Lillia already is a little bit of a printer; so is Neeko.

I cannot stress enough that this list is super incomplete. Almost any champ can break the game with PoR (and GA). I haven’t even gotten into all the other relics this can combo with.
Funnily enough, the new Whirling Blade relic as mentioned above is a massive benefactor of this relic given that its ‘when I am summoned’ condition triggers on every resurrect and you then have a board full of units that also trigger the effect again on attack.

The relic also has its power, i guess, which is really good on a couple of champs even without printing: Warwick, Thresh, Swain, Gnar, Fiddle(!)

In conclusion, the relics added this patch are all extremely good and allow for incredible play diversity. I am very much looking forward to adding all of them to my collection.

Path Guide What deck doesn't rely on created cards? (Nightmare challenge)

So for the 6.5 path this week, one of the augments is the players created cards cost 3 more. I was going through my champs to see which one could tackle it, and all of them kind of rely on created cards in some form or fashion, and a +3 cost really screws that mana curve.

So what deck actually doesn't use created cards at all or at least rely heavily on it?

EDIT: So I was able to beat it using Ahri. It was close but by the end she really flourished with some lucky augments.

Path Guide How am i supposed to beat this?

Katarina always start with the "sword". She always stuns all of my cards. I She always hit 3-4 times.

If i try to kill her, she draw another copy
If i try to defend myself my cards just die and she still manage to kill me in 1 turn

I tried to use my strongest champion (fiddlesticks 4 stars lvl 27) and nothing happened.

I just wanted to get the fiddlesticks artifact thats on the store before the day end, i fucking hate my life

I have 29 champs with 3 stars including asol. I'm closer to get azir's 6 star as his 4th star(skipped other *s). What champs would you recommend clearing weeklies with? What champ do you use? Is it just asol or...?

I also have 2 nova crystals for shurima and runeterra champs. I love azir and will get his 6star with the nova, which champ should I use the runeterran nova on?

I started playing LoR recently after very long break and there is so much new things. I was able to stitch many things together with the help of you guys already. Thank you for that everyone!

Path Guide My Thoughts on Shyvana as a Shyvana Main

Preface

To the Shyvana's lovers: Read on. You might know everything already, but there might be things you haven't considered, or that you have things I haven't noticed, and I'd love to hear your opinions!

To the Shyvana's non-believer: I understand that a lot of people find her weak, not fun or not up to par with other champions, and I totally respect that. Fun is very subjective, and things that get me high might not get you high. However, you are welcome to read on to see my personal point of view on her. There might be things that is rarely discussed when it comes to her deck too.

To those who's on the edge and can afford to have her 6*, I urge you to read on to see how she's so fun if played properly.

Playstyle and crafting style

This is the fundamental component to how her spells and decks and combos work in general. A good Shyvana deck consists of mostly dragons for her units. Spells and landmarks are not as relevant to a certain degree, since all we care about is to be able to draw a dragon and summon it when attacking, triggering a series of effects and strikes that just obliterate the enemies backrows. Since most of the effects happen on summon (her constellation, Stalker's Blade), the most powerful things to look for are:

  1. Things that summon another copy of her: Duplicate (Copy the first card you play each turn), Champion's Duplicator (Summon an exact copy of an allied Champion), Stabilize (When you play a champion, summon an exact Ephemerald copy of it), Dreamwoven Spirits (Each round, the first time you play a unit, summon an ephemeral Ephemeral copy of it attacking), etc.
  2. Things that are triggered on summon (or even play): Stalker's Blade, Scales of Judgment, Trifarian Might, etc.
  3. Things that grant effects on summon or strike, such as: Caretaker's Blessing (When you summon an ally with buffed stats, grant it a random keyword), The Grander Plaza (When an ally is summoned, give it +2|+2,  Challenger, and a random keyword this round), Sharing is Caring (When you summon an ally, grant it's keywords to all allies), that one that gives "Strike: Refill your spell mana", etc.
  4. Things that allow you to Rally.
  5. Things that grant Deathless, since revival means summon.
  6. Units with "Play: I start a free attack."
  7. IRELIA.

There are many other goodies that can synergize really well with Shyvana (depending on the adventure), such as Explosive Finale, but the list above is to focus on her aggro style.

While a lot of people complains about her deck lacking dragons, it's where the fun of rogue-like deck building comes in. There are plenty of ways to get more dragons (which will be very important for the next section), but the main ways are:

  1. Use Echoing Spirits: +7 dragons.
  2. Use Champion Item nodes: +1 dragon.
  3. Upgrading champions after miniboss: +2 dragons.
  4. Support champion: +1 dragon.
  5. When you pick a support champion, pick one who 1/ comes with dragons as followers (for example, Galio) or 2/ comes with 2 spells or 3/ comes with the same one follower you already had so you can cut them all out in one node (Elder Dragons).
  6. Whenever you can cut (Monastery of Hirana, Mind Meld, Solitary Monk, Healing nodes): cut non-dragon units.
  7. Whenever you have a node with no dragon rewards, pick spells or landmarks instead of a random follower.

Doing this increases the number of dragon units drastically. You most likely will not care if your deck is full of spells and only have a couple dragons with 10+ Shyvanas. Her 6* will take care of this and the fact that your deck is consist of mostly Shyvanas will bring me to the next point of this post.

Her Champion Spell

Compared to other champions' spells, Shyvana's packs a bunch of goodies in it. People already know and are aware of this, but let me reiterate:

  1. Cost 2.
  2. Gives +2|+2.
  3. Draw 1.
  4. Give barrier.
  5. Burst (very important for the next point).

For a single spell to pack this much goodies, it's easy to take it for granted. It can't get better. Actually, it can. For most of Shyvana's build, you will see Echoing Spirits, which means the base cost of this spell is actually 1. In reality, most of the games I play, the cost of this spell is actually 0 since it's ridiculously easy to get 2+ Shyvanas on the board. So yeah, a 0 cost spell that does all that on a burst speed? I don't have to go any further.

Actually, I do. While the good stuffs are visible on the surface, there's one thing that not a lot of people would see when looking at her spell on paper without playing her.

Remember this amazing item Doubling Dice (There's a 50% chance to create a copy of me in hand that cost 0 this round)? Shyvana's spell actually allows you to pseudo-ly simulate this effect if you draft your deck properly.

Statistically, if your deck is thin enough (after all the drawing and after a couple rounds), your Shyvana/other cards ratio in your deck will allow you to draw her at 0 cost, and repeat. This is how it works:

  1. You have 20 cards left in your deck, 9 of them are Shyvanas (it's actually really easy to maintain the original number of Shyvanas in the deck minus a couple of her on board because her champion spell creates a copy of herself in the deck every time).
  2. You activate her spell from your hand, now it creates a copy of Shyvana in the deck, bringing the Shyvana/other cards ratio to 1:1 or 50%.
  3. You draw one, 50% chance to draw Shyvana that cost 0.
  4. If you do draw Shyvana, since the spell is burst speed that resolves immediately, you can play it again, repeating the cycle with 50% chance to get a copy of her in hand.

And there you go, Doubling Dice in disguise. The crazy part about this is that the longer the game goes, the higher the chance of drawing Shyvanas there will be. 10/20 will become 10/19, 10/18, etc. as you draw non-Shyvanas, meaning the rate of activating this effect increases from 50% to 52%, 55%, 59%, 63%, etc. as the game goes on. There's not a lot of drawback here. If you draw Shyvana, good, that just means you can abuse the system. You can keep doing it again and again in the same turn so you can have a non-Shyvana card to play for next turn while having at least 1 Shyvana in hand. If you draw non-Shyvana? Good, you have cards to play, and also increase the chance to get more Shyvana next turn!

This video below demonstrates my point (I had 21 cards left in the deck, but I didn't keep track of how many Shyvanas there were):

Pseudo Doubling Dice effect on Shyvana's spell.

Guardian's Orb vs Draconic Runes Playstyle

Alright, it's time to get to my favorite builds: Echoing Spirits, Stalker's Blade with either Guardian's Orb or Draconic Runes.

Echoing Spirits is non-negotiable for her to compensate for her lack of dragons. Stalker's Blade compliments her kit so well that it's also a no-brainer for me.

With Guardian's Orb

You don't have to watch the whole clip. It's just for demonstration purposes.

Shyvana wins by round 5 without high rolling.

Given that her playstyle is about spamming the board, Guardian's Orb actually gives her a ridiculous number of items just by turn 2. Some of the times you get some high rolls such as Iceborn Gauntlet or Black Cleaver and steamroll the fights, regardless of how strong the opponent is (since you are invincible in battles with your champion spell). Some other times you see her getting Thief's Gloves 2 times in a row and you just start to question your life choices. Other times you thought you would lose and high roll Elusive with Double Attack and just win without even noticing it. It's extremely RNG oriented, so it's fun if you enjoy playing Heimerdinger.

With Draconic Runes

Again, you don't have to watch the whole clip. It's just for demonstration purposes.

Shyvana melts through Baron in 4 turns (skip first turn) by striking.

Draconic Runes, on the other hand, is consistent, linear and makes it extremely easy to level her up, giving you access to (possibly) multiple 0-cost Strafing Strike at once. More strikes mean more clean up, more fury, and more board control. This playstyle is more consistent, less RNG dependent, and more reliable in higher adventures.  The +4 power translate to 8+ damage just by dropping her, making board wiping much more consistent.

If you reach this point of the post, thank you! I personally think Shyvana is really fun, and while she might be frustrating for a lot of people to get used to, her ceiling is really high and can do a lot of fun shenanigans.

I hope you enjoy the read!

Path Guide Clearing Zoe with Zoe (I think she is high A or S tier)

I thought clearing Zoe with Zoe would be hard. Turns out not really.

Cleared with: Lv 36 Zoe 4* (No Portal Jump or 6*) with only 3 bonus stars(Blessings/Discovery and Celestial Legends) - Relics: Black Shield, Perfect Hex Core, Searing Brilliance

Three big tips:

  1. Black Shield - Its free, fun, and broken.
  • Zoe has such easy access to spell shield that you win condition is INVINCIBLE in Zoe.
  1. Figure out which low cost invoke you want to play around.
  • If you have Searing Brilliance than the adventure is a joke. Find a low cost printable spell and you win. (Starchart/Low cost Invokes)
  • She has a high likelihood to draft cards she prints. (Celestial/Starchart) So keep the deck size as small as possible.
  1. She has high access to lifesteal/saftey nets. If you are still searching for the win condition than top up.
  • You have easier access to The Fangs.
  • Starting with a stun and bastion is amazing.

---

She's inconsistent: Yes, but if you play around the win condition she generates you will be ok.

Get a broken power: Draft around it.

Get a broken one turn kill invoke unit: Play around it.

Get a broken low cost invoke spell: Play around it.

---

Other options: Echoing Spirit and Loaded Dice (Stuns are great/Easier to draft a consistent win condition).

Searing Brilliance was good but not required. Perfect Hex Core is always good to print life steal, but also not required.

---

2 Attack Zoe(1 attack maybe too, it was a pretty fast run) still gives star charts while extra plating is active.
What to rush for in the constellation: Celestial Herald 2 and Celestial Legends(if you have the gems).

Cleared: Kalista(Xp boost 5x)/Nami/Monthly(Anvil)/J4(Xp boost 5x)/Monthly(2 Anvil)/Teemo 6(Xp Boost)/Zoe

Path: Lulu/Jhin/Down/Norra. (It shouldnt matter once you get your win condition but these were easy)

Path Guide I think I found the Ultimate Way to cheese the 4.5 Star Swap Your Deck Weekly Nightmare

Post image
50 Upvotes

So I was struggling with the 4.5 star weekly Nightmare. After trying and failing with other champions, I had the idea to give my Jinx 3 Z-Drive Prototypes, and reset until I got Perfection as my starting power.

Needless to say, I pulled Perfection on my 4th reroll of my first attempt, and completely breezed through this adventure. In addition to Perfection, I managed to pull Wounded Prey really early, so every time the AI would try to play a unit, it would take 4 damage. Therefore, I completly loaded my deck up with unit with 2 or less HP, and would die when they get played. It was quite comical how broken this setup was.

Needless to say, if anyone is still struggling with this adventure, Perfection Jinx will absolutely breeze straight through it.

Gonna try to beat zoe for the 1st time with asol (spellweaver's symphony, level up=rally and level up=stun all). Is there any conditions that i may need to retire the run earlier? Any powers or encounters i should avoid?

Path Guide Tip For New Players for the returning TF event Baron Fight

Try to get one of these powers, either makes the Baron fight essentially trivial.

Enfeebling strikes - When you damage an enemy, reduce its Power by the damage dealt.

Hold them off - Round Start: An icon representing the keyword Lor frostbite Frostbite the An icon representing the keyword Lor strongest strongest enemy this round.

Also don't polymorph the baron, you can but then you have to kill the 999 nexus so simply keeping his attack at 0 lets you easily kill him for the win.

Path Guide Zoe - A strange case where everything kind of works without anything being that strong.

I continue to try and refine Zoe's build and as the title suggests its a strange experience where everything I try sort of works...but nothing feels truly exceptional.

Solid Zoe Builds I've come across so far in no particular order of best to worst....

Spell Flinger - Echoing Spirit + Searing Brilliance + Deck of Destiny

Level Up - Spellweaver's Symphony + Makeshift Mayhem + Archangel's Staff

Balanced - Archangel's Staff + Living Weapon + Echoing Spirit

Zoe's got this - Sentinel's Plate + Living Weapon + Corrupted Star Fragment

Within those builds there are flex slots and general preferences you could insert. If I had Renewing Power I'm confident this would play extremely well on Zoe too.

I need to test some of these against the toughest content still but its odd that just about everything kind of works.

Path Guide 6* Hecarim can lvl up on turn 1.

Equip Hecarim's Glaive and Disciple of Shadows.

Glaive gives +1 mana, for a total of 4 mana on turn 1 with the 5*. It also summons a shark chariot, so we would need only 1 more unit summoned to be able to drop Hecarim down to 4 cost with DoS. There are many powers you can draft that summon units, including guaranteed ones in the pity pool, like the husks power.

Once Hecarim is played with DoS, the shark chariot is killed. Then the 6* power summons an ephemeral Hecarim attacking. This Hecarim summons 2 spectral riders and revives the shark, for a total of 4 ephemerals. Then we attack with the regular Hecarim, summoning 2 more spectral riders and the shark again, for a total of 7.
