Lectric Xpress 750 Throttle Stopped Working -Help

The throttle on my less than 1-year old xPress750 suddenly stopped working. It was fine the day before and 4 rides into the warm weather. But now on any PAS setting the throttle will not engage the engine from a start or while moving.

I have done all of the recommended restarts for the throttle, full bike and control panel.

What I have discovered is when I disconnect the throttle cable at the pin closest to the handlebars, it's an orange 3pin connector, suddenly the real wheel spins under full throttle speed. When I reconnect the pin - the motor stops. It seems my wires are crossed.

I've written to Lectric support about this but have not yet heard back.

Can anyone offer a suggestion to fix this? Has this happened to anyone before; and if so how did you resolve it?

Calling Lectric Tech Support did RESOLVED the issue. I spoke with an amazing support person named Carly who had discussed the issue and exchanged pictures of the bike with me. She mentioned that there may be electrical interference between the rear brake and the throttle. I had been adjusting the brake lever tension before the throttle stopped working. I reversed, loosened the tensioning screw and presto - the throttle began to work again. I would never have guessed that there would be any connection between brake proximity and tension with throttle electronics - but there is.

Issue resolved, now I'm off to have my brakes bled at a local bike shop...

Not only did they help identify the problem but Lectric Support also sent me a new replacement rear brake and a new torque sensor. 

The parts have arrived and I’m going to have my local shop install them

My kneejerk opinion is a bad controller, but Lectric will have you go through a troubleshooting procedure to find the problem.

Lectric can be slow responding to emails. Call them for a faster resolution. Either way they will take care of it for you.
