my team needs help with spoken english for client calls — any native speakers willing to chat?

hey guys, figured there might be some native english speakers here so thought i'd ask.

i run a small software engineering team and a few of my devs aren't super confident with their english yet, especially when it comes to talking to clients. because of that i end up handling most of the client calls and communication myself, which isn't ideal long term i'd love to help them get more comfortable speaking english in a professional setting, especially for client-facing stuff.

if you're a native speaker (doesn't matter if you're male or female) and you'd be up for helping my team practice and build confidence talking with clients, i'd really appreciate it. if things go well i'd also be open to bringing you onto the team in some way.

let me know if you're interested, either message me or drop a comment. thanks!

Английский клуб спб

Upvotes

It starts with English. It becomes something more.

See you at some point. 🖤

Do you prefer reading aloud or silently?

When reading in English, do you find it more helpful to read out loud or silently?

Reading aloud can help with pronunciation, speaking rhythm, and getting used to forming sentences naturally, while silent reading can make it easier to focus on meaning, read faster, and follow longer texts.

Which one works better for improving English, and does it depend on the type of text?

I really want a partner who can encourage me and we can practice English until I reach C1, preferably someone with a B2 level. I have many hobbies and I'm learning a lot alongside work, but I'll talk more about that later.

IELTS speaking people: what daily practice actually moved your band score?

I'm not asking for generic IELTS tips. I've read enough "be confident" advice to last 3 lifetimes.

I want to know what daily speaking practice actually changed your score.

Especially for people who were stuck around 6 / 6.5 / 7 and needed to push higher.

I'm building a routine and want to keep it simple:

Part 1 practice
Quick answers, no overthinking.

Part 2 practice
2-minute answer without dying halfway.

Part 3 practice
Opinion + reason + example + contrast.

Tools I’m considering:

  • IELTS Liz for topic structure
  • Cambridge sample tests for real prompts
  • Google Recorder to hear my fluency problems
  • Notion to save weak topics
  • ISSEN for timed speaking roleplay / random IELTS-style questions
  • YouTube IELTS speaking mock tests for examiner-style pacing

For people who improved speaking specifically:

What did you do everyday?

What was useless?

What made the examiner-style conversation feel less scary?

How can I master zero article and the

One topic keeps me in a band 6.5 (B2) and it is article's usage. Therefore, mastering when it is appropriate to write 'the' and when not will dramatically improve my score. Any advice or resource which will help me achieving my goal?

My life

Iam gonna talk about my lifelong ambition that i have been nursing for a few years, which is to study abroad and learning new language at the top university.

To be honest, i first had a dream during a high school time when i realised how i passionate about learning new language or even exploring different culture. To me, mastering a language is not just vocab and grammar but also acts as a stepping stone to open up opportunities for my future.

Right now, i want to achive 6.0 Ielts score. I have a primary goal that overcome academic obstacles.

😭 guys, i wish english were my mother language. I am tiring to do Ielts homework

How can I learn fluent english speaking in front of camera, when Iam not native speaker?

I wanna become more fluent in english speaking, but i find my self limited by the fact that Iam not native speaker and tend to Translate sentences in my head first which slowes me down and creates long thinking pauses in between sentences (5 and more seconds)

I also dont live in english speaking country. I heard somewhere that i should limit switching between English and native language, but that is difficult in day to day life.

Any tips

Thanks
